I don't really understand this situation, but I suppose it will all shake out.  Why would he come back to Hoke and basically beg for his spot back only to schedule visits to other schools?   I have a feeling Hoke wouldn't have given him a second chance if his pitch was that he liked Michigan but still wanted to check out other schools.

That information was probably not far off as recently as a week ago.  Since then, Dawson has reconnected with the Michigan coaches and in his own words, had a "heart to heart" with Hoke.  Sure, he's not a UM commit yet, but not a far reach to see he is telegraphing how he feels about Michigan.

Does he have a visit to Alabama in the works?  Wouldn't make sense for him to say a school like MSU, which he has a visit scheduled to in January, would be behind a program that he didn't schedule a visit to.

*edit*

Not to mention that for the last couple of months it was made clear that staying close to him was very important to him, which would leave UM/MSU/OSU in the mix.

They also have Deon Drake. His logic is just bad. CR has a ton of talent and not everyone of those players can go to UM. When MSU starts to beat UM for the top guys they want, then we can have that argument. Is Iowa and Illinois making serious inroads to CT because they got some guys that UM want perusing?

Aren't both the other OL visitors from the west coast.  Seems like if Dawson was going to re-pull the trigger then it would be nice if he did it before those guys started their travels.  A long way to come just to hear "sorry, no room."

Because Michigan paid for it... because Michigan is a good school... because Hoke is straight up...because there's a chance it might be worth it...because there's stuff we don't know...there's more to this than we know.  This staff certainly is not above greyshirting either.

Still think he will take all his schedule visits...just dont think he will make the same mistake twice and miss possible trips to other schools.

ACT test is redundant. This would be like saying ATM machine or PIN number. But whatever

Edit: I actually looked this up on the Google machine and it's called the RAS (Redundant acronym syndrome) Syndrome

My guess is that either Dawson has pretty much decided he wants to go to U-M and will recommit prior to 12/14 or if he doesn't,  one of the other OL will commit on 12/14 and Dawson will be left out.

I'd be surprised if Dawson takes the other visits in January and a spot is still left at that point.

It isn't a matter of the wives DEMANDING to control the calendar. I've always sucked at maintaining a social calendar, so my wife knows that if we don't want to regularly double-book ourselves, it's on her. She's also the rememberer of all important dates (family birthdays, etc.).

In exchange, I am the fixer of all broken things, the killer of all spiders and other insect life, and the lifter of all heavy objects.

She is referred to as The Social Coordinator.
We moved in March and I've built a shed, put a loft in the garage, put in a slave electrical panel in the garage, and started digging out the crawl space (that one may take years). The next project for me is putting in a closet in the rights in area over the garage and putting in a drain tray in there so the laundry can be upstairs.
She handles the calendar and buying gifts, I rebuild the house. Even when it doesn't need rebuilding.
