Dawson has to reshedule due to ACT test. per TomVH
yes plz
Let's hope he kills that ACT.Thats a big thing for getting him into any school.
"Are you an official here?Because you've officially given me a boner."
Showed up for mine with a hangover and a broken number 2 pencil now I work in a warehouse where were you 10 years ago.
Ten years ago he was spiking your drinks and sabotaging your pencil.
I proctored your test and made sure you got the one with no right answers. The world needs warehouse workers too.
If someone ever invented a low fat vitamin - filled vegetable that tasted like fudge covered Rice Krispies treats - I'd probably eat better
Please be more to this story than just the ACT. Maybe he is seeing all the studs coming to visit on December 14th, and realizing that the clock is ticking...
Chuck Norris wears Brady Hoke pajamas.
I don't really understand this situation, but I suppose it will all shake out. Why would he come back to Hoke and basically beg for his spot back only to schedule visits to other schools? I have a feeling Hoke wouldn't have given him a second chance if his pitch was that he liked Michigan but still wanted to check out other schools.
Apparently the MSU beat writer Matt Charbenau has sources that say its still between MSU and OSU. Which I can't believe because it makes zero sense.
That information was probably not far off as recently as a week ago. Since then, Dawson has reconnected with the Michigan coaches and in his own words, had a "heart to heart" with Hoke. Sure, he's not a UM commit yet, but not a far reach to see he is telegraphing how he feels about Michigan.
That guy's an idiot. I think Dawson himself said MSU is trailing UM, OSU, and Alabama. (You know, real football programs.)
Why would you have a heart-to-heart, if you didn't REALLY want to come back? He's going to take his time, but I think he's leaning hard to Michigan right now.
Does he have a visit to Alabama in the works? Wouldn't make sense for him to say a school like MSU, which he has a visit scheduled to in January, would be behind a program that he didn't schedule a visit to.
*edit*
Not to mention that for the last couple of months it was made clear that staying close to him was very important to him, which would leave UM/MSU/OSU in the mix.
He was arguing that State has made some serious inroads at Cass Tech because Finley didn't flip and because State leads for Dawson (which... yeah).
They also have Deon Drake. His logic is just bad. CR has a ton of talent and not everyone of those players can go to UM. When MSU starts to beat UM for the top guys they want, then we can have that argument. Is Iowa and Illinois making serious inroads to CT because they got some guys that UM want perusing?
Why would Hoke re-offer if Dawson is going to visit our rivals and supposedly keep them as favorites?
I suspect he has until Dec 14 at about 2pm to decide or the other recruits get the one-on-one chat with Hoke to close the void.

Aren't both the other OL visitors from the west coast. Seems like if Dawson was going to re-pull the trigger then it would be nice if he did it before those guys started their travels. A long way to come just to hear "sorry, no room."

And if they're coming out from the West Coast, chances are they're serious and one of them might take his spot.
Because Michigan paid for it... because Michigan is a good school... because Hoke is straight up...because there's a chance it might be worth it...because there's stuff we don't know...there's more to this than we know. This staff certainly is not above greyshirting either.
I agree it might be worth it because there is a chance for them. I also think that it would be crappy for them to step off the plane to find Dawson had recommitted.

Why do I need to go to the ACT if we came here to play FOOTBALL, I ain't come to play SCHOOL, tests are POINTLESS

Hello, Again: David Dawson
"... Just as Christian came up to the Cross, his burden loosed from off his shoulders, fell from off his back, and began to tumble down the hill, and so it continued to do till it came to the mouth of the sepulchre. There it fell in, and I saw it
Yes please
"He has no idea that Charles Woodson can jump fifteen feet in the air, come down acrobatically, and get his foot inside this football field. Folks, you can watch football a long, long time before you see another play like that."
is mystifying to me, does he want to come back to U-M? Why reschedule anything ohio in that case? Whatever
Still think he will take all his schedule visits...just dont think he will make the same mistake twice and miss possible trips to other schools.
ACT test is redundant. This would be like saying ATM machine or PIN number. But whatever
Edit: I actually looked this up on the Google machine and it's called the RAS (Redundant acronym syndrome) Syndrome
My guess is that either Dawson has pretty much decided he wants to go to U-M and will recommit prior to 12/14 or if he doesn't, one of the other OL will commit on 12/14 and Dawson will be left out.
I'd be surprised if Dawson takes the other visits in January and a spot is still left at that point.
Why would somebody schedule an official visit during their ACT? He had to have had the ACT scheduled before hand right?
Is this just me?
If I wasn't married, I would be constantly double-booking myself. My wife is the only thing that keeps a sliver of order in my personal life.
Dawson is not married. Ergo, these things happen.
I just wonder if this is just a convenient excuse because he simply doesn't want to visit them anymore...Wishful thinking, i know.
Agreed, my wife does all of my scheduling. Whenever anyone asks me about my plans for any given time, my immediate response is, "I'll have to ask my wife."
I'm sure you guys are happily married; but that sounds awful to be. Maybe that't why I'm 31 and single.
It isn't a matter of the wives DEMANDING to control the calendar. I've always sucked at maintaining a social calendar, so my wife knows that if we don't want to regularly double-book ourselves, it's on her. She's also the rememberer of all important dates (family birthdays, etc.).
In exchange, I am the fixer of all broken things, the killer of all spiders and other insect life, and the lifter of all heavy objects.
She is referred to as The Social Coordinator.
We moved in March and I've built a shed, put a loft in the garage, put in a slave electrical panel in the garage, and started digging out the crawl space (that one may take years). The next project for me is putting in a closet in the rights in area over the garage and putting in a drain tray in there so the laundry can be upstairs.
She handles the calendar and buying gifts, I rebuild the house. Even when it doesn't need rebuilding.

Lets hope he recommits to UM on 12/14 and never makes to Ohio!
