"David Brandon Cornerbacks Coach"

Submitted by dnak438 on

Does this mean what I think it does, namely that the cornerback coach at Michigan is now called the "David Brandon Cornerbacks Coach"?

Strange.

Can anyone help me out with twitter emoticons? What does two hands making a field goal post mean? Or the red "100"? Strictly context driven?

It might sounds just a little more...oh....personable if it were the "David And Jan Brandon Cornerbacks Coach", I suppose, but perhaps they didn't want the title to seem too ostentatious. My question was more along that lines of whether or not it is a good idea to tell CBs to "Avoid The Noid" and skip their coverage assignments.

I can see it now.

Future named things at Michigan-

  • the Harry Newman Memorial Starting Quarterback
  • the Drew Dileo Threat

However, this could be just the office that is named after DB. Everything in Michigan Stadium is named after someone. Literally everything in the towers.

Add a "presented by Coke Zero."  I wonder how much it costs to sponsor the David Brandon's Cornerback Coach's Office's trash can?  Would it be the "Toasted Yostie's Dave Brandon's Cornerback Coach's Office's Trash Can" or the "Dave Brandon's Cornerback Coach's Office's Toasted Yostie's Trash Can?"

Why not have programmable LCD displays and an ongoing auction showing how the whateverthefuck chair, room, latrine, etc. is now named for the highest bidder.

I thought that he had endowed the cornerback's coach, much as the head coach is now an endowed position named after two people whose names I forget.

Anyway, if I were Dave Brandon I'd donate to name my own office so that the text read:

David Brandon

Athletics Director's office

David Brandon

That would be great.

No pressure at all since Brandon never saw the field.  If that's the standard for the position it shouldn't be too hard to coach guys so they never get playing time,

No one is stopping you from making a fake sign that says "Dave Brandon Urinal" and putting it on the wall in one of the stadium bathrooms. I think that would be hilarious if you could actually make it look really official and see how long it stays up.
