Dave Brandon will announce a 'historic event' on Friday that will soon take place at Michigan Stadium

Most people on twitter are assuming this is some kind of soccer match. The tweet basically says it all, what "historic" event do you believe Brandon will announce?

While you think about this historic event, that you'll no doubt not want to miss, here is a video of the early enrollees for your viewing pleasure(found right below this post):

A historic partnership with Dominoes Pizza? "Introducing "The Big House" - two extra-large pizzas,10 of your favorite toppings, an order of pasta or wings, plus choco-donos for desert! All for the infinitely reasonable price of $14.99!"

Better off just announcing it and let everyone else decide how historic it is.  Does he really need an announcement that he's going to make an announcement?

It's at least North American and played by tough men.  Furthermore, it exemplifies American values of not being Euro Pussies.  If i wanted to watch people run around for 90 minutes and fall down without being touched, I'd watch a group of 5 year olds.

Our man Dave has arranged for alien spacecraft to hover over the stadium at halftime and create crop circles in the field turf.

Aliens. Grays from OSU.

Personally I hope it's getting rid of the stupid legends jersey and giving the legends monuments instead. Just like The Yankees and Alabama do.

What would that be?  I would consider it pretty historic if:

- They reduced the price of tickets.

- Set aside more seats for the student body.

- Brandon took a recuction in his salary to fund another "non-revenue" sport or two, or if he donated a substantial part of it to a worthy charity.

- Turned down an ethically questionable sponsorship deal.

- Stopped jacking around with the uniformz.

- Generally speaking demonstrated that there was something more important than maximizing the amount of revenue the athletic department generates.

(The jokes, they write themselves.)

I think its to announce a historic rise in the budget for Sky Writing.  Or to announce that MH370 actually landed in the Big House.
