Darius Morris Sighting

Submitted by Marley Nowell on
Hit an open 3 and hasn't touched the ball since. Would be nice to see him handle the ball some when Nash is in the bench.

Darius Morris went behind the bar and grabbed a beer for my housemate at the NCAA bball final at the alumni bar in LA, but then he and Chris Duhon left without paying the $200 tab so he had to cover.

Great to see Morris get some minutes - Hope he can work himself into the rotation for next year. The next few years should be exciting for us as Michigan Fans watching our players in the NBA ... Its been way too long having just one wolverine play significant minutes for an NBA team (Crawford). That being said Juwan Howard did pick up a ring last year!

Crunch time for him right now, his contract is up at the end of the season. Lets hope he can make an impact or else it looks like he will be joining our contingent of players in Europe/Asia

Pg's have a funny way of just turning good after bouts of mediocrity (See: Conley in Memphis). I would love to see Morris in Denver for a year so he can add a bit of Andre Miller to his game. Not the .23 cm verticle part, but the "I am the real Uncle Drew" part.

Sad to see Nash like this. He can barely move.

And sadly, I think this is likely Morris's last season in the NBA. He just doesn't do any one thing quite well enough. Can't really guard. Isn't quite able to break down the D and distribute. Doesn't shoot that well.

The Lakers will give him another one year deal. They are so salary strapped that they won't be able to replace him with anyone good and they only have a second round pick in this year's draft and they'll need to take a 2 or a 3 and hope he's good. With Nash being really old and Blake being still pretty old, they need a young PG and Morris is cheaper than Duhon and just as good.

Not a great game obviously, but he looks way better when he's handling the ball.  I don't understand why they keep putting him out on the wing.  He's not exactly the best outside shooting guy.  Let him handle the ball more if you're putting him out there

The Lakers are running out of options.

I still hold out hope that Deshawn makes it back to the states(and the league).  I'd still argue he has the best UM pro game since JC.  Just hasn't gotten a shot for some reason.
