Was expecting this to be a cool story about him ordering a double double at In-n-out.
Darius Morris sighting..
Animal Style, of course.
U beat me to it :) couple a free throws and one jumper. As a lakers fan that was my only time I enjoyed the game
But I'm a Nuggets fan so the entire game was enjoyable to me :P
Let's see if that enjoyment is still there Saturday night
as a fellow laker fan, that despicable performance was so damn predictable
outside of kobe, nobody cared
If Denver somehow wins this series, will Andrew Bynum ever live down this statement after game five:
Close-out games are actually kind of easy. “Teams tend to fold if you come out and play hard in the beginning...”
What's the problem? He was exactly right. Denver dropped the first 13 points and the Lakers folded.
I can't think anything else about Darius other than wishing we had a 6-4 point gaurd going into the NCAA Tourney this past year.
I saw Ben Cronin at the Blue Lep about a week ago, but I don't think he was working on physical therapy there...
Maybe a different kind of therapy
Do you think further developement would have made THAT much of an impact on hit PT? Or do you think talent wise he's pretty much just good enough to be on a roster type?
He's a rookie on a veteran team with title aspirations. Many times those players don't see the floor much unless there are multiple injuries to the same poision. Look at Jujuan Johnson, formerly of Purdue, now of the Celtics. Big 10 player of the year, senior, 1st round pick (instead of 2nd round like Morris), and he won't sniff the court for the Celtics in the postseason. If he still can't crack the rotation next year, then yes, maybe Morris might have been better served staying in school. But rookie playing time is a function of what team you're on as much as it is how good you are.
I was lucky enough to have front row court side seats at the game last night. The Lakers were warming up right in front of me - I gave Darius a "Go Blue!," and he jerked his head around with a big smile - pointed at me - and gave me thumbs up. Despite his lack of playing time, he stays very active on the bench keeping guys fired up. He seems like a real good guy.
Cool story bro. Seriously. Probably made his day to hear somebody 3000 miles away from A2 yell that.
Considering Darius Morris was drafted AND is still on a NBA roster, his decision actually didn't work out too poorly. Whether he succeeds now will depend on how good he is and that's all you can ask for.
WHen I was watching he seemed like the only guy going 100% at the end, and looked quicker then he ever did at UofM. I think he will be a starter one day.
I'm also a fellow Laker fan. I turned off that game in disgust during the 3rd quarter so I missed the Morris sighting. The only silver lining to that game is that I found out that there is in fact something more irritating than watching the Lakers play with a 20 pt. lead. (That last sentence may sound puzzling, but anyone who's watched the Lakers with some frequency knows *exactly* what I'm talking about.)
