Dantonio orchestrated the whole thing.   He gave them the questions to ask so he could get pissed off at the DISRESPEKT and hang up, thus feeding the Spartan Low Self Esteem Engine for this season.

I don't know too many Italian Americans who would be "offended"-- more annoyed by the stupidity of the question. How do you respond? "Yes, we are Italian and we eat pasta. Good one.."

I probably would have hung up on that interview too....the reporters were obviously digging for a controversy in asking about harbaugh...and then why conner cook wasn't captain....followed by do you eat pasta with Izzo....come on now. The disrespect thing overall is funny to me...but they have been pretty damn good the last few years....seems like you could ask at least 1 question about the current team.

I will say to Dantonio what I say to my 4 year old. The reason your older brother says such mean things to you is because he likes to watch you throw temper tantrums. If you were to respond like a big boy he would stop. Now go to your room.

I truly do not get the concept of insulting your guest until you get the reaction you want.  

1. Harbaugh question

2. Conner Cook question

3. Pizza question

4. Disrespect question

Look I cannot stand MarkyMark either but if you're going to invite him onto your broadcast dont go out of your way to try and be a jerk.   All three of those questions could've been woven into a conversation and he might've actually gotten an answer.

I was actually listening to someone read back some of the questions on the way back from a meeting offsite and I will say that they probably weren't the best way to start a serious interview, if indeed a serious interview was the intent. If I were a coach expecting to talk about my program and those are the questions I was getting, I might be a little put off too. I do agree with you, however, that if these had been interlaced with some quality dialogue, I bet you might have gotten a few of them answered, even if jokingly and then in a style on Dantonio could manage, where you wonder if his face would break if he cracked a smile.
