for ND since many of share that same feeling for UM.  I don't want to join his blog so if I could respond to him it would be:

Yes, ND is probably a better team than us right now, DameFan, but in the end that doesn't mean JACK.  34-31 is all we care about.  We know who we are right now, but we also are looking forward to who we'll be in a few years, and so it makes it even sweeter to knock the Domers off, once again, in the last minute when we're not even close to where we'll be in 2 to 3 years.  ND has their chance when our D is close to it's lowest point ever (except last year), our D will never be like this again.  Our D will be back, and although we won't have Denard for too much longer, there is a force called Shane moving in.  You had your chance to step on us while we were down.  You lost your chance...3 times in a row.

I do hope ND does get it together, though, for one week, at least, to knock our little brother's teeth out.  Good luck with that.

I admire your passion and wish you the best of luck with your family.  You might want to teach your kids how to hold on to the ball, especiallly in the red zone.

I actually was a little disappointed by this one.  He seemed less out there this time, i.e., acknowledging Denard, saying MSU is good, Cousins is good, the MSU RBs are good.

I prefer when he really loses his shit.  I'd really like to see him restore his youtube batshit gusto.

What does ND play for anyway? M plays for a B1G championship, as does OSU. Any SEC/Pac team plays for their respective crowns, but what does ND have to gain out of ripping ten in a row? "Woooo let's go to the BCS bowl with the first at-large pick?" Sounds very...let downish compared to other schools.

My favorite part:

"We have the number 8th ranked passing game in college football...Led by Tommy Rees who currently has a higher completion ratio and more passing yards than Andrew Luck... He's gotta fix the interception ratio numbers...but that will come!... The kid is clutch...you can't rattle him whatsoever"

Really? Comparing Rees to Luck? How many redzone turnovers does Luck have? How many of Luck's passes have gone backwards? It's ok though, because the kid is clutch and he can't be rattled. Tell that to field in between the end zone and the 20.

I like how he says that he exists because he is clear headed and rational, yet he says that ND is better becuase they are favored to beat MSU while Michigan wont be favored to beat MSU. Does he realize that we just played a game and won?

He's got a recognizable stance, a tone, a peculiar stance.

Not the grammar (Christ, this is the Internet), but the syntax and the manner.  He pontificates in much the same way as our beloved MGoblogger, The Knowledge.  He strikes the same arch, self-mocking pose--but of course he seems to believe that the Irish actually are true gold, and not the fools variety.  His teasing is not meant to be amusing.

Still, he is amusing.

And while I love to see us frustrate the Irish, I would be delighted to see them defeat MSU.

"Did you play for Notre Dame, daddy?" No
"Did you go to Notre Dame, daddy?" No
"Have you ever been to Notre Dame, daddy?" No
"Did your daddy like Notre Dame? No

I live down here in lovely Ohio.  If you replaced "Notre Dame" with "Ohio State" you would be accurately describing at least 90% of the hard core Buckeye fans I have to deal with.

Oh, does it get better. Let's hop in the time traveler all the way back to...August.

"We will have a solid secondary!....Led by Harrison Smith...and Gary Gray....as well as my boy RJ Blanton!....(sub in rotation Motta and Slaughter)Smith..Gray...Blanton will have seasons that will send them into the NFL draft....No question...1st and 2nd round players!..."

"As a whole the Defense will gain NATIONAL attention by week 5 and the U$C game will be on everyone's calendar as a make or break game for both programs..."

"Brady Hoke...pictured above will give ND everything they can handle for 3 quarters!....you put them in whatever order you want....(we either jump out early and put enough distance so they can't catch up...or we wear out their lack of depth and own the 4th quarter!...) but ND's talent and depth will make the final push and send the IRISH into week three undefeated!..."

"My 8 year old son became a Notre Dame fan on Saturday. There is no turning back now. He has heard the clarion call, carefully weighed his options, and understanding the trials that await him, he has taken his first step on his life's journey as a Domer. " - Damefan

He says:
In closing I want to share one of my favorite stories I've ever read concerning Notre Dame Football.. I can't even remember were I originally saw this...but it's stuck with me...
Then he proceeds to tell someone else's story in first person, that probably a picture of someone else. Dude is laughable.

Here: ND is 0-2. Ok onto lesser important things.

-Denard Robinson is one of the best players in the country, but other than Denard....Michigan doesn't have anything!...      ND was destroyed by Hemmingway and Gallon making several great plays each.  All of which I would give the recievers the credit for making more of the play than Denard.

-"If ND is not the better team why are we 5 point favorites to the current Big 10 Champs #15 MSU?"  Who the hell cares what the line is?  You could VERY easily lose this game and you know it.  And I hope you do.

-We have the number 8th ranked passing game in college football...Led by Tommy Rees who currently has a higher completion ratio and more passing yards than Andrew Luck... Dude I dont know anyone who would take Rees over Luck or ND's passing offense over Stanfords, this is a stupid thing to say.

-We have a top 18 running back in Cierre Wood... Top 18?  who says this?

Amazingly, I agree with him about the rest, especially that ND has no respect.  I sure don't have any for them!

He is right here. We immediately questioned why ND is favored in this game.

If we don't have "anything", and we beat them, do they have even less? Besides, saying "Denard is one of the best players in the country, but without him they don't have anything." just like saying "Well that apple is red, but without it's peel it's not really red at all!"

This guy is so illogical. So ignorant. Such classic Notre Dame fan.

Worst blogger ever.

"Have you ever been to Notre Dame, daddy?" No

"Did your daddy like Notre Dame? No

"Why do we like Notre Dame, daddy?"

"Because........I grew up in the late 80s/early 90s, and they were one of the only teams competing for national championships and playing on national television every week.....I was......a front runner son. "

I understand he's somewhat of a goon, and isn't the best writer, but I give him credit for sticking by his team. I also think that some of you are taking him a bit literally. I'm guessing his quote

"As fan's we have no possible way of seeing things through rational eyes... That's why your Ol'buddy Damefan exists, I'm very clear and level headed!"

should have a /s somewhere, which means he at least has a sense of humor about himself.

I also do believe that Notre Dame is a better team than the 0-2 record suggests. Tommy Rees being clutch is pretty accurate when you think of the atmosphere after we scored with 1:12 left in the game, and the fact he drove the team back down to score on us.

I respect Notre Dame and see a little of themselves in us.  I have no problem with them returning to Glory, as long as that return always makes a detour when they play us every year.

It's just that your blog is cute in  that sort of "you have to admire someone whose passion for their team overrides their ability to form rational thoughts or make coherent sentences or use punctuation properly" way. It's your shtick, of course - we would all be sorely disappointed if your site was not a brutal read from a syntactic, grammatical and orthographic standpoint.

When you throw predictions and demean an opponent (and supporters thereof) that has just beaten your team, be prepared for the fallout when your predictions prove to be wrong.  Humbly accept your defeat, congratuate the winning side (if you are able), admit the error of your ways, and go on down the road.  Learn from your mistakes so that history does not defeat itself.  Otherwise, rivals (and even supporters) will continue to blast you, most of them rightly so.

Wowww. Notre Dame is not the center of college football anymore. If it was would they have moved the college football hall of fame? God's team and all that jazz? Please. I had t-shirts made that say "God is an M fan" and have the score of the last 3 games. So if you see those on saturday that's me selling them.
