That's truly ugly. Whoever thought "let's ignore an instantly recognizable design and just have the front be yellow" should be fired. And then fired again, to really drive the point home. Also, Adidas-style numbers from alternate uniformz takes away from it. But it is Jake Butt's number, so that's cool.

What's the rationale here? Did UM pick him or was this some kind of sponsorship thing?  Brad Keslowski is a big M fan, seems like he would have been a better choice.  He also, you know, might win a race.

seem like tools. The sport runs pretty much only on sponsorship and a huge part of that is getting these drivers in front of the corporate minions for some face time. You try acting like you're excited as all balls to meet Alice from ACME corporate receivables over and over and over again all while trying to figure out how to stay in front of the pack on the track. Not everyone can handle that stuff like Harbaugh can. It's an effing drain.

I concur. What a great way to promote Meeeechigan.
Plus, Jr. Nation is HUGE.
And he typically runs well at MIS, so the Maize N Blue 88 will be seen a lot during the race ... I hope vs. last Sunday.
Personally, I'm excited about the merchandising to come from the M themed car.
Hey. For all the "half empty" people who blogged about the car, it's look, who is driving, etc. C'mon man. The car features M and they best colors in college athletics.
At least it's not MSU who ? or Oh how I hate Ohio state colors on Jr.'s 88.
