Daily article on Denard

This is a week old, but as far as I can tell this "student of the year" article on Denard hasn't been posted yet.  Great piece about Denard's Michigan bucket list.  I love the fact that he says that his kids better go to Michigan (or he's not paying for it), and that he's graduating as the first in his family to get a 4-year degree.  You will be missed Denard.

“Yeah it does get hard,” Robinson said of the unrelenting attention. But he said he tries to “make somebody else’s day every day. I love doing that.” - Denard Robinson, on being stopped for autographs and photographs

It has been a while, I think, since anyone has been embraced so universally on campus, and not just as an athlete but as the literal face of the school on many levels. That is making an impact, both as a player and as a person. That leadership on the field and on campus will be missed.

a special place in my heart for Denard.  Went through some rough patches/years but he brought a lot of positivity and obviously excitement as a player, but also seemingly as a genuine, likeable person off the field as well.

Robinson is taking five classes, including an advanced physics course...

Ironic that someone for whom many of the basic laws of physics don't apply is taking this course.

I've been following Michigan sports since 1982.  There has never been a player as beloved as Denard Robinson in all that time.  Never.  It goes far beyond his exploits on the field.  We've had lots of great players on the field.  But never one so beloved for who he is and what he means to us.
