Just confirmed, 2016 LB Daelin Hayes is no longer committing on April 27. Had heard it might get postponed and it is.

2016 LB Daelin Hayes will have his top list out later today. Sounds like these new offers have made him think, postponing his announcement

Good!!! He needs to take his time. He is a 2017 prospect. Plenty of time before he should be making a decision. Would hate to see him go blue, then decide to decommit.

Looking back, I can't imagine how myself or anyone I went to high school with would have been prepared to make a college decision on April 27th of our SOPHOMORE year. For the good of these kids somebody needs to figure out a way to slow this whole process down.

yes, its really terrible that he's given the opportunity to lock up a scholarship at a great school sooner rather than later (and by lock up I acknowledge that in theory the school could back out, but generally doesn't unless the kid gets in trouble or something, especially schools like Michigan), while retaining the ability to back out himself at any time.  There outta be a law.

Oh, and you know how you slow it down (if that's what a kid or his parents want to do)?  Don't answer the phone.

Yeah because no one would ever give them $#it or undue pressure for being 16 years old and changing their mind about something that 16 year olds change their mind about all the time. It's totally so easy and great to have every offhanded comment you make over analyized, assumed to be about football, and to be second guessed and criticized by a national audience of supposed adults. I don't know why any still developing person would feel any pressure or have any diffiuclty with that.

Better for him to take it all in so he can make certain of his decision when he makes it instead of going through the decommitment fiasco that so many love on here.

I don't see why a 10th grader thought he was ready to commit to a college football already....slooowww down kid, enjoy your youth. It's a smart move by him.

As much as I would like to see him commit, I think it's a wise move until he sees some more offers.
