I grew up on the southside of Omaha....as a kid went to the Omaha Cardinals AAA team's games and the 4th of July fireworks show at Rosenblatt. And I appreciate your respect for tradition that is a hallmark of Michigan fans---one of the main reasons I "visit" this blog.

But there's nothing nearby but the Zoo. Even the AAA team left it. The NCAA basically leaned on Omaha to build a modern ballpark dedicated to the CWS, they didn't think Rosenblatt was good enough, despite the incredable attendance, hospitality,  and support Nebraskans had shown for decades. Not enough skyboxes, I suppose.

Rosenblatt was great in its time, but I think TD Park is awesome. Right in downtown, the Old Market, Qwest Center, Riverwalk Mall. Way more to do. And a fantastic facility. They're still packing them in, Nebraskans LOVE college sports. Sic transit gloria.

I predict the B1G baseball  tournament will be here permanently.

Im from Bennington, just northwest of Omaha (I go to school at Minnesota State which is why I can't make it this year). TD Ameritrade park is a great ball park don't get me wrong. It's just that it just doesnt have that feel to it that Rosenblatt had. The flooding around the stadium didn't make it any better last year.
