Cutler Martin suspended 3 games, Dexter Dancs 2

Submitted by Wolverine Devotee on

Really only 2 games for Martin as the game on Thursday is an exhibition. He'll be out for that one. Those 2 games will be the PSU series.

Dancs will miss the exhibtion and the road game at PSU. He'll be back for the Saturday game against them which will be at Madison Square Garden.

Suspended: Cutler Martin gets three games and Dexter Dancs gets two games, including Thursday's exhibition, for fight vs. OSU.

Boka skated right up to the guy and cross checked him right in the chest. Turned and got a couple back (hockey). Linesman skates in front of boka (at this point it's on boka to take it to the next game) and boka skates around and tries to get at that buckeye who dancs ran into and has started to punch.

The refs handed Game Disqualifications to 2 Michigan players and 2 OSU players at the conclusion of the game:

Cutler Martin & Dexter Dancs for Michigan and Dakota Joshua and Brandon Kearney for Ohio State all received fighting majors, which carry automatic 1-game suspensions.  So even if there is no supplemental discipline for the OSU players, they will be missing 2 for their next game.

But I said it was more than deserved. Kearny needed to be punched in the head several times as far as I'm concerned. Where in the rule book does it say it's ok to grab someone's head and drag them around the ice while your teammate crosschecks the guy in the back?

Kind of a dumb punch by Martin.  How many games did the OSU guys get?  Also, no mention of the fact that there were two groups where it was 2 OSU guys on 1 UM guy?  Wasn't exactly a fight but they were throwing rabbit punches in a 2 on 1.

I would consistently get that type of punishment I'd be punching Buckeyes in the head on a weekly basis. Probably would help my blood pressure better than a beta blocker.

in the same season why don't the penalties be served against team committed against?  Why should another opponent gain advantage and not the team the infraction occured against?

Fuckboy University loses Joshua and Kearney for 1 game and no further suspensions.

This conference is a joke. At least Kile didn't get a game for leaving the bench to do the refs' jobs for them.
