Cullen to transfer?
UMGoBlog just tweeted that there are rumors of a possible Cullen Christian transfer. This is the first, and hopefully last time I hear this rumor.

Why is T Rich the second DB? Just curious?
Nice reaction based off what is currently just a vague rumor. Not like it's possible the whole thing's untrue...
He really ought to wait it out, in my opinion. He's still got a redshirt year to play with, and Woolfolk will be gone after next year. I think he should see whether he can beat out Avery, Countess, Brown, etc. and see where things go from there. If it doesn't work, he could sit out 2012 and still have two years to make an impact somewhere else.
Your standards for laughing out loud are pretty low. You must be one of the easily amused people who tuned into "Two and a Half Men" on a weekly basis.

he's also drinking Faygo and eating a box of thin mints on 4/20... . . That explains both the lol and the post!
This type of comment is so stupid. It's a message board. If you don't want to read opinions, much less reasonable, thought out opinions, don't go to message boards. lol
seemingly beaten out by Avery, Tony Anderson and Greg Brown?

Maybe someone needs to heed the advise of incoming frosh Frank Clark, and realize the fault of not starting/playing lays within.
Damn the internets and their ability to bring me bad news -er rumors to worry about in April.
Is it too early for this? (Sorry for the half-a$$ed construction.)
We also need to add Vinopal to the quilt.
What's our APR looking like these days?
We should be OK, assuming CC is academically eligible if/when he leaves, and I haven't heard he isn't. Unless a lot more guys leave, we should be in the clear for now.
Eh, I'm not so sure on this. We were dangerously close to the borderline a couple years back, and there's been plenty of attrition since.

Our APR takes a hit even if he is in good standing when he leaves. It's just worse if he's not. But let's just let this all play out first.
So no 2 deep is decided and nobody has said Cullen cannot break the 2 deep if he puts in the offseason work or be the nickel back or win a starting job......
Point is to play anywhere he has to put the work in, and he will have to beat out 4-6 other players to crack the 2 deep or win a starting job. Leaving is quiting when things are tough.............
Well, if Christian truly doesn't think he'll ever get playing time, I guess it wouldn't be a horrible decision for him. I'm not sure how well he fits what the new staff is trying to do, but if he left now, it would be pretty easy to overcome a transfer year.
Don't just be posting over here all innocent, like you didn't neg TomVH. I'm on to you, buddy.
I think negging TomVH is hilarious. It's not like Tom cares one iota about his point total.
Then people realized points were worthless and stopped complaining about everytime Tom and Brian got negged for a while, and it just wasn't that entertaining anymore. If Tom's point guardian's are back on the prowl, I may have to get back into the game.
Someone's gotta stand up against the cult of personality TomVH has going.
Says the guy who has Coach Hoke looking like a Michigan Oompa Loompa in his avatar and can't seem to resist making a GIF out of Coach's every move.
That's Brady Hoke in his avatar? I thought it was Earl's brother from "My Name is Earl."

I thought it was Pat Caputo.

Can't even give you +1, so I'll give you +1,000,000,000,000 - worth the same. I literally laughed out loud at this.
hurt? He didn't play at all last weekend, did he? I thought he was held out? Could be wrong...
Perhaps he will transfer to Pitt to get that excellent secondary coaching from Coach Gibson.
IIRC, didn't Cullen play with Brandon Ifill? He is at Pitt, as is Tony Gibson. I honestly wouldn't be shocked.
You are correct.
If this is true, that's my guess as to where he ends up.
So Pitt:Michigan football::Iowa State:Michigan state basketball?
That seems about right.
Okay team, I know how we feel about tradition here at Michigan but if there's -- as we strongly suspect -- a particularly nasty hazing ritual for guys who are 2nd on the depth chart at defensive back, please stop it. We need the dudes!
Not funny. At all.
Really? I thought it was hilarious.
5 consecutive years, Michigan has recruited an Army All-American CB.
2007 - Donovan Warran - pretty solid starter for us, but never really reached potential and left early to go undrafted.
2008 - Boubacar Cissoko - scorched by ND his soph year which sparked a not-so-thriving drug selling business. 1.5 years with the team.
2009 - Justin Turner - redshirted as a frosh due to reported issues of weight and effort, then before his second year he transfered to an NAIA school.
2010 - Cullen Christian - top 100 player who couldn't see the field much as a freshman even when UM was playing every freshman DB in that recruited class, even starting one after JT Floyd got injured. Even Terrence Talbott was going in before CC last fall, and now this rumor.
2011 - Blake Countess - PLEASEPLEASEPLEASE BREAK THIS PATTERN BLAKE!
Not that this means anything, but I like Countess more than I did any of those other guys except Donovan Warren. So if he has a career equal to or better than Warren, I'll be pretty happy (especially if he stays for all four years).
Well, if he makes it to his senior year in Ann Arbor, he'll do something none of the others have. So I hope you're right, but I'm pretty sure Countess is the lowest rated of that group, at least per Rivals. That doesn't mean a lot though, since they were all very highly rated.
You know, sometimes I think you actually are Brandon Graham.

I wish. Then I wouldn't have to pay for hookers. It's a real drag on my finances.
April 20th, 2011 at 10:25 PM ^
You wouldn't have to pay for hookers or you wouldn't need hookers?
April 20th, 2011 at 10:27 PM ^
I wouldn't need them. If I were in the NFL, all the ladies would want a piece of me.
In case you can't tell, in real life I'm like McLovin.

Madonna, Cher, McLovin, and Magnus.

Sometimes I think you are actually William Taft.

Sometimes I think you are actually Dudley Do-Right.
Mustachioed Gen.... I always figured he was a McClellan wannabe.
Common denominator: Tony Gibson.
All of those guys received most if not all of their CB "training" from Tony Gibson. Gibson was widely loathed by WVU fans when he was at that fine institution for a general lack of competence. I'm hopeful that his exodus will lead to a revival of sound/excellent CB play at UM.
Wish the kid the best regarding his decision. Definitely a blow if he leaves, but there is some depth at the CB positions.
