Csonte York Suspended Indefinitly

Submitted by dayooper63 on

Per a U-M release, sophomore receiver Csont'e York is suspended indefinitely for "failing to meet team standards."

EDIT: Here is the press release

The following is a statement from University of Michigan head football coach Brady Hoke:

“Csont’e York is suspended indefinitely for failing to meet team standards and will not report for fall camp. We demand that every person in our program represent the University of Michigan and the Michigan football program the right way on and off the field. When people fall short of that, there are consequences.”

Terrible news, hope the victim is OK and back playing hocky for us this Winter.

I was really hoping Hoke could go several months without having another player in trouble.  Michigan Football has been in the news for the wrong things far too many times in recent years.

York was at a bar, he's onl 20, hope he wasn't drinking.

First, "terrible news" should be reserved for terrible news. A 3rd or 4th string WR taking a break for legal trouble is disappointing but not terrible. If someone is UM knowledgeable, 20 yr old at Scorekeepers is no big deal. Have you spent any real time in AA?

The data prove that Hoke's kids have a low incident rate. The few that do have problems, tend to right the ship after very public punishments.

Hoke has only 1 issue: An impatient fanbase after a 7-6 season. Winning will cure everything.

Terrible news because a Michigan Hockey player was seriously insured you dolt!!! Some of us root for more than two sports. And I could give a crap how it effects the depth chart, I care about how it reflects on our football program.
