Csonte York Suspended Indefinitly
Per a U-M release, sophomore receiver Csont'e York is suspended indefinitely for "failing to meet team standards."
EDIT: Here is the press release
The following is a statement from University of Michigan head football coach Brady Hoke:
“Csont’e York is suspended indefinitely for failing to meet team standards and will not report for fall camp. We demand that every person in our program represent the University of Michigan and the Michigan football program the right way on and off the field. When people fall short of that, there are consequences.”
Terrible news, hope the victim is OK and back playing hocky for us this Winter.
I was really hoping Hoke could go several months without having another player in trouble. Michigan Football has been in the news for the wrong things far too many times in recent years.
York was at a bar, he's onl 20, hope he wasn't drinking.
First, "terrible news" should be reserved for terrible news. A 3rd or 4th string WR taking a break for legal trouble is disappointing but not terrible. If someone is UM knowledgeable, 20 yr old at Scorekeepers is no big deal. Have you spent any real time in AA?
The data prove that Hoke's kids have a low incident rate. The few that do have problems, tend to right the ship after very public punishments.
Hoke has only 1 issue: An impatient fanbase after a 7-6 season. Winning will cure everything.
Terrible news because a Michigan Hockey player was seriously insured you dolt!!! Some of us root for more than two sports. And I could give a crap how it effects the depth chart, I care about how it reflects on our football program.
How is that bad?

You're digging deep into your vocabulary.
A player suspended for a fight at a bar isn't a big stain on the program's reputation. Yes, your MSU co-workers will mention it tomorrow. Just reply that 69 of 69 seniors have graduated in Hoke's tenure.
Moving on ...

Yeah, 20 year old's drinking in a college town is beyond the pale
Alabama #2 ATH Bo Scarbourough cannot enroll because he has not met "Alabama educational standards"
Wow that's pretty bad. He had some very limited interest in Michigan at one point even though everyone knew where he was gonna end up. But that won't hurt Alabama much in the grand scheme of things but bad news for the kid.
Ole Miss will take him!!
Scorekeepers and football players don't mix!
Sincerely,
Brian Griese
