Three great posters donated tickets to the children's home I work for but one pair is in section 2 which is the student section. Will we be able to get in with those two tickets(with out student ID)? We have three different pairs of tickets(total 6) and we all want to sit together, so I called the ticket office and they wouldn't let me trade the tickets for six together but said once the game starts we should be able to find six empty seats that we could all sit in. I just want it to go good for our kids and be not be rejected after a 2.5 hour drive. Any info? Thanks!
Crisler Arena question for tomorrows game
If they are definitely student tickets, then you need an MCard for them to validated, I believe.
F!! So I am screwed?
Section 2 is only the Student Section down in the bleachers, there is a portion of 2 that is NOT the student section. Additionally, if they are real tickets and don't say "student voucher" on them they are definitely not student tickets. Students have vouchers instead of tickets that must be redeemed for tickets, needing a student ID. They are read vertically instead of horizontally have a dark blue background and clearly state that a student ID is required and that it is a student voucher. You may want to call the ticket office again and try to double check with them, giving them your exact seats and asking, but I'm 95% sure you're good.
These thread suggests you can validate at the ticket office (NOTE: the information conflicts on whether this can be done at Crisler. Call in the morning, and good luck!)
As far as I know, you can only validate student basketball tickets on weekdays at the ticket office as opposed to football tickets that can be validated at the stadium.
If it was the same as the football tickets, you could just ask around until some Michigan student would get them validated for you.
Since I've always just had student tickets, I'm not sure, but it's possible that you can just buy tickets at the stadium. I'm also almost completely sure that the Northwestern game wouldn't be sold out.
Hopefully someone can come on here and tell you if you could buy regular tickets at Crisler on game day.
You can definitely buy regular tickets on gameday, if it turns out the ones you have are student tickets. If I remember correctly, tickets for normal gold are like $10 and for way high up gold, like top 3 rows, you can get them for $5.
Also, according to the policies sheet I have with my student tickets, they can only be validated at the athletic ticket office during normal business hours, not at Crisler and the ticket office is closed Saturday or I would offer to get them validated for you, if need be :-(
they shouldnt be student bleacher because student bleacher tickets are actually vouchers that are exchanged at the door for a bleacher ticket. Students do not actually get a ticket until the mcard is looked at and voucher exchanged. Chances are your tickets are in the blue section above the student section which are pretty good seats so screwed you are not.
Thanks for all the help guys! Seems like we maybe alright after all the great info! The kids will have a blast!
Anyone got any tips on where to park?
lot on either berkley or potter of off main st. its right across from the big house. its a bit of a walk but there is always parking there and its only $10.
Shredder - I sent the section 2 tickets to you... These are not student tickets but are three rows behind the students... some of the best seats in the house! sorry for the confusion.
If you have the kids you probably want a short walk. In that case you can park at Pioneer for $10. Or you could park on the north side of stadium if you get there early. Here it is first come first serve as you are parking on the street, but my wife and I always find a spot somewhere in those neighborhoods and usually its the same distance as if you parked at pioneer.
