Cravens to USC-Will still visit Michigan

Submitted by MichiganMan2424 on

The 5 Star safety out of California is supposed to announce at around 11:30 AM PST, so 2:30 PM EST.

If doesn't choose USC I will eat a lemon. If he chooses Michigan I will eat another.

Edit: He chose USC, but says he still wants to visit Michigan, OSU, and maybe Florida. Had a final three of USC, Michigan, and OSU. Interesting. There may still be a chance.

though that he still plans to take visits.  Officials are paid for by the schools, so why would a school fly him out across the country if they thought he was firmly committed to USC.  I'd be interested to see what the staff does in this case as they are adamant about UM recruits not taking any more visits after committing to Michigan.

On top of that Michigan isn't exactly a sexy visit, such as Florida or California...especially for a Cali kid, so if he really plans on coming I would think that there's more to it.  Could be he's trying to bring down the recruiting process tremendously or maybe it's for his cousin.

If how the coaches handled Brionte Dunn last year is how they're going to go about all committed prospects, which I expect they will, then they'll have no problem allowing a prospect committed elsewhere to visit.

it's about his dad though...did you think Andrew Luck shouldn't have gotten a scholarship? How about Nate Montana (lack of talent aside)?  Their parents are wealthy as well...and there was no debate...almost an expectation that they would receive scholarships.

I took the point to be

1) he earned the scholly and has every right to use it.

2) a player in that financial situation could pay his own way and help his team by allowing them to give the scholly to another talented prospect.  Therefore effectively giving his team a competitive advantage by allowing them to have 86 scholarship eligible type players.

What else do you have to do?  Something productive like work, have a social life, raise a family, join a cult?  Admit it - you're going to check this thread from time to time just to find out the kid's final decision.  The first step to curing MGoAddiction is to admit to the addiction to MGoBlog

Aren't we due to be on the positive end of a total shocker of a recruiting decision after Garnett?  The Stanford people, if they cared, probably would have had a thread about how they had no chance.

USC's class is just ridiculous. According to Rivals their lowest ranked guy is Massington at 141. All other 6 guys(soon to be 7) are in the Top 100. Talk about quality over quantity.

Man, if he picks USC over UM, I don't know what I'm going to do.  I mean we never, NEVER, win head to head battles.  I'm starting to doubt Hoke's recruiting.  I thought we could have gone to the next level with him, but clearly we are outclassed in the recruting department.  It hurts so bad.
