Cravens to USC-Will still visit Michigan
The 5 Star safety out of California is supposed to announce at around 11:30 AM PST, so 2:30 PM EST.
If doesn't choose USC I will eat a lemon. If he chooses Michigan I will eat another.
Edit: He chose USC, but says he still wants to visit Michigan, OSU, and maybe Florida. Had a final three of USC, Michigan, and OSU. Interesting. There may still be a chance.
<sarcasm>
but his dad just sent me a text to run with the story of
su'a 's commitment to usc ....before it got to the public....
quit crying ! :)
</sarcasm>
Wat?
That makes sense. I think it was the sarcasm notation that threw me off. All "/s" or '<sarcasm>' things are the death of all humor in my book.
wow
my first non negative rated post !!!!
i am proud of meself.
I'd be surprised if he didn't go to USC, but somehow there is this tiny sliver of hope that he will surprise us all.
Is it just me, or has the board been lacking fun/interesting topics recently? I think I got spoiled early this Spring when we were getting committments left and right. I've just been so bored lately. Maybe I should get checked for mono?
we have a chance?
No. No one is saying we have a chance.

Live feed right here. He chose USC, but interestingly enough he says he still wants to visit schools and singles out Michigan and OSU.
So, I'm making a commitment, but not really.
Happy Birthday, Mom.
is USC's class almost full? otherwise I can't understand why he would feel the need to commit if he still wanted to take visits...
He officially committed to USC, but will still visit Michigan, OSU, and maybe Florida per Tremendous.
This intrigues me.
Per Bryan Fischer he has committed to USC.
IIRC Joe Mathis has yet to receive a USC offer, and very likely won't due to their scholarship restrictions/position need filling up. Does Cravens picking USC have any impact at all on Mathis's current position (top choices being Washington, UM, Nebraska)?
Personally, Mathis seems like the type of kid who will switch his favorite every day (which is perfectly ok for a teenager). The coaching staff is still looking at possibly adding another DL (either NT or SDE). Do we still want Mathis for one of those last few spots? Does Cravens choosing USC have any impact whatsover on what his cousin is thinking?
I thought he had also mentioned once he made an official committment he wanted to stick to it? Seems odd that he'd still want to visit other schools. Maybe something changed his mind a bit.
He seemed to really force his decision timing. Forever he was saying he wasn't going to decide until he had taken all of his officials. Then he decided to drastically move up his date to his mom's birthday, but he would still unofficially visit those programs he was most interested in (OSU, Michigan, Nebraska)... and then he canceled those visits due to some kind of school conflict.
So I suspect there's still a little doubt in the kid's mind since he never even gave himself a chance to see the other schools he was thinking about... and he probably wanted to at least "save" a spot at USC, his clear frontrunner.
you have seen the girls in southern cal right? i'm pretty sure that is a pretty big motivational factor for a 17 year old kid...
prolly felt with all the DBs leaning USC's way he couldn't wait till fall to figure things out. He was prolly thinking I really like USC, but I want to see some Midwest schoolls to be absolutly sure.
this is a big reason I like Hokes policy of if your commited you aren't visiting other schools, but hey if other schools let there commits take visits doesn't mean we can't try to flip a few of em :D
more of a chance than I figured we had going into today. if anything this is the best outcome we could hope for
I thought we had no chance. Now I feel like it's an extreme long-shot, but once he's on campus, anything can happen, especially with Mattison and Hoke.
/No offense to retards intended.
No sweat. Work on McQuay and Treadwell.
...if he verbally committed to USC, I would hope Hoke would turn him away, lock the gate and wish him the best out west..
If I was in his position, I would game the system for every free trip I could get. I would try to schedule visits to as many great games as I could. Plus, a trip to SEC-land for a little "southern hospitality" is a must for all savvy recruits.
The chick that was in Denard's bed can show him around.
