Craig Roh signed by Carolina Panthers

Craig Roh's Facebook status update from an hour ago indicates " He's officially a Carolina Panther." Considering he was waived this morning I assume he was signed to the practice squad. Anyone hear of any other Team 133 guys who made practice squads considering this mornings run on waived players?

$5,700 is the minimum that they can be paid a week. But some players might receive more than that if he is a sought after player but not enough to make a teams roster yet. Practice Squad amounts do count towards the Cap limit however.

So that's still a 60,00+ check at the end of the year if they stay on the PS squad all year. But that would get a huge bump once a guy gets signed to an active roster. Not too bad of a pay check for most guys.

"The Panthers also signed wide receiver Brenton Bersin, safety Robert Lester, running back Tauren Poole, defensive end Craig Roh, wide receiver James Shaw and defensive tackle Casey Walker to practice-squad contracts. Lester, Roh and Walker are rookies."

Good to hear, and hopefully Roh is on the active squad at some point.

making the Cardinals roster, he was cut today as they were awarded two linemen from waivers. But the article on their website notes that Kenny is "practice squad eligible." Considering he wasn't cut until today, and for need, they must like him enough to put him on the squad whether now or later. Presumably their squad will be named tomorrow.

Unfortunately, Roy Rountree didn't make the Bengals' practice squad. Too bad they don't have a comedy squad. He'd have been a sure thing.
