Damn. Maybe I should have just saved my money for a potential Rose Bowl trip next year. With flight, hotel, decent tickets, and entertainment it's going to be a $1000 weekend in Dallas.

Just my opinion, no. Maybe if you're lucky, but this is Michigan and Alabama - two of the biggest and most rabid fanbases in the country. Both will be preseason top 10. Bama just won the title. Not to mention this was announced over a year ago, not a month prior like a bowl game.

To me, spending $125 instead of a potential $75 is worth not stressing about flying out without a ticket and ending up paying $300 at the game.

With as much as tickets are a bunch of my friends and family will be going to Cowboys Stadium to tailgate and watch the game outside. They have huge monitors outside the stadium for all to watch. My uncle will be there with his HUGE BBQ pitt. All Michigan fans on the MGOBLOG board will be welcome to come! Look for the tall and large Michigan flag. All we ask is for a small donation for food and such. There will be a ton of Alabama fans but I hope we have a good turn out. GO BLUE! Yes these TEXAS folk will be rooting for the Maize and BLUE!

If this is true, it is extremely interesting.  However, the likelihood that it is true is extremely slim, as I doubt any of our coaches would be dumb enough to share that much information, especially the negative stuff about recruits.  If word got out about that, HS coaches might have an issue with the callousness.  Right, Mark?

right, a coach at a high profile institution is going to spill everything he's thinking to a complete stranger, wearing their main rivals colors. He will go on to trash just about everything about the current team without mentioning any positives. Also: in the same breath he will mention that the coaches don't pay attention or know the "star ratings" of any players then refer to them on specific recruits for the rest of the conversation. this all seems very likely.

Hey, I've got a hot deal on this bridge in New York, you interested?

Its like he recorded him.  How do you remember that much info in a 40 minute flight.  also, doesnt sound like a coach.  maybe, he was riding with Phil the hater.

Are any of our coaches in Chicago recruiting today.  Hoke and Funk are traveling back from seattle.

Remember - this game is being played between two groups of scholar athletes.  We CAN NOT pay them for playing football for these fine institutions, as that would violate the sanctity of the sport and would be an unsustainable business model considering that upper-bowl tickets ONLY go for $125/person.

Blame the economy.

Man I'm definitely rethinking buying GA tickets. The only good thing about having this in Jerryworld is a lot of students won't be going so getting their tickets should be easy

Is there anyone with a decent number of points that would let me buy 2 $175 tickets from them?  I'm pretty certain they will be all gone by the time it goes public and I was hoping to get decent seats for this one.

When they sell tickets to an event like this (requiring points, away venue), you often have to show an ID to pickup the tickets in the city of the event.  Keep this in mind if you're going to buy them from someone, it may not work out.

His thing about grades with Burbridge and Pittman is a 100% lie, scUM does not have elevated standards for athletes like Northwestern, Stanford, or Notre Lame. If Burbridge qualifies at MSU he would have qualified at scUM.

For those wondering about the popularity of this ticket: while not significant to the whole, we have a group of 20 people going including people who generally refuse to travel.  This was a unique enough event to warrant the cost.  Just putting out there to those weighing the cost/benefit of waiting on stubhub.
