I guess I was hoping that $125 would get me a better seat than upper level!
yes plz
$1000 maybe just on strippers and blow! All kidding aside, you guys don't think when it gets closer to gameday we won't be able to snag those tickets for less?
Just my opinion, no. Maybe if you're lucky, but this is Michigan and Alabama - two of the biggest and most rabid fanbases in the country. Both will be preseason top 10. Bama just won the title. Not to mention this was announced over a year ago, not a month prior like a bowl game.
To me, spending $125 instead of a potential $75 is worth not stressing about flying out without a ticket and ending up paying $300 at the game.
Intensity is a lot of guys that run fast.
You gotta splurge. These games wont happen that often for us. 285 all day long.. Round trip airfare from dtw 430..room 4 blocks away 58 a night.. Booze food for 3 days 400... Im all in baby!
Dallas.. We will finally reveal ourselves to the jedi!
Its called a royale with cheese
With as much as tickets are a bunch of my friends and family will be going to Cowboys Stadium to tailgate and watch the game outside. They have huge monitors outside the stadium for all to watch. My uncle will be there with his HUGE BBQ pitt. All Michigan fans on the MGOBLOG board will be welcome to come! Look for the tall and large Michigan flag. All we ask is for a small donation for food and such. There will be a ton of Alabama fans but I hope we have a good turn out. GO BLUE! Yes these TEXAS folk will be rooting for the Maize and BLUE!

Not to be an ass, but yours won't be the only one with a big Michigan flag I imagine. I suggest flying another flag as well or having some other way of describing it so we can more easily find it. Thanks for the invitation though.
Wow, that's a lot of 285 dollar seats to sell.
Sorry for thread jacking but can someone please start a thread with this link? I find it very hard to believe that one of our coaches would publically rag on current players (BWC, Denard) like this asshat is claiming... Any idea who the coach could be?

Note to all people:
Please don't start this thread.
If it's on the internet it must be true!
If you see someone in an airport with Michigan logos on luggage and they are wearing a pilot uniform come say hello.
If this is true, it is extremely interesting. However, the likelihood that it is true is extremely slim, as I doubt any of our coaches would be dumb enough to share that much information, especially the negative stuff about recruits. If word got out about that, HS coaches might have an issue with the callousness. Right, Mark?
Hail.
right, a coach at a high profile institution is going to spill everything he's thinking to a complete stranger, wearing their main rivals colors. He will go on to trash just about everything about the current team without mentioning any positives. Also: in the same breath he will mention that the coaches don't pay attention or know the "star ratings" of any players then refer to them on specific recruits for the rest of the conversation. this all seems very likely.
Hey, I've got a hot deal on this bridge in New York, you interested?

Did I not say "I find it hard to believe"? I never thought it was true and don't think it is. I posted it because I thought people would like to see states new low... they really think that people would believe a Michigan coach would tell a state slap that they think Denard/BWC can't play?

The only problem with this guy's story is that he was sitting next to a UM fan, not coach.
Its like he recorded him. How do you remember that much info in a 40 minute flight. also, doesnt sound like a coach. maybe, he was riding with Phil the hater.
Are any of our coaches in Chicago recruiting today. Hoke and Funk are traveling back from seattle.
he eventually (on p 6) claims it was jerry montgomery. (he also claims he sat down immediately when he got off the plane and voice recorded everything he could remember.)

Remember - this game is being played between two groups of scholar athletes. We CAN NOT pay them for playing football for these fine institutions, as that would violate the sanctity of the sport and would be an unsustainable business model considering that upper-bowl tickets ONLY go for $125/person.
Blame the economy.

I went to a cowboy's preseason game last year and paid $40 for standing room only at the end zone concourse. Amazing stadium. Jerry's gotta recover those costs somehow
So hot. Milk was a bad choice.
Those are really good for $50. Too bad I'm graduating this year. Maybe I can get somebody to buy one of my behalf...

Man I'm definitely rethinking buying GA tickets. The only good thing about having this in Jerryworld is a lot of students won't be going so getting their tickets should be easy
If you're doing nothing, how do you know when you're finished?
Is there anyone with a decent number of points that would let me buy 2 $175 tickets from them? I'm pretty certain they will be all gone by the time it goes public and I was hoping to get decent seats for this one.

His thing about grades with Burbridge and Pittman is a 100% lie, scUM does not have elevated standards for athletes like Northwestern, Stanford, or Notre Lame. If Burbridge qualifies at MSU he would have qualified at scUM.

We don't claim to be the best, but we're damn hard to beat
That's awesome. And I won't be in the nose-bleeds like the Sugar Bowl.

For those wondering about the popularity of this ticket: while not significant to the whole, we have a group of 20 people going including people who generally refuse to travel. This was a unique enough event to warrant the cost. Just putting out there to those weighing the cost/benefit of waiting on stubhub.
Damn. Maybe I should have just saved my money for a potential Rose Bowl trip next year. With flight, hotel, decent tickets, and entertainment it's going to be a $1000 weekend in Dallas.
