I am assuming that because they were interviewing Gibson and Dews that, that's the reason the clips made us look all pass happy and what not.

But, who cares about speculation single digit days until game day!

Grady had some nice plays. All three QBs had some nice throws. Did anybody else see Death Roh run over the Tackle at about 2:10? Getting pumped, only 9 days until UConn!

The term "pick 6" was formally discarded last year to make it more embarassing for the QB that threw it. The new term used is T.A.I.N.T. or tounchdown after INT.  We were hoping that the quarterbacks on Michigan would be discouraged from throwing them due to the graphic nature of the new term. Here it is used in a sentence:

"The QB threw a T.A.I.N.T. on that last drive."

Thank you for revising your vocabulary for the sake of the team.

Lots of crisp passes. Decent looking long ball in the air, not sure if the fact that it hit the ground was the fault of the QB or the receiver, or a good play by the DB, but you can't really tell who the QB is even if you freeze the video. (I think it's Gardner, but there's no way to know for sure.)

EDIT: Also, great quote regarding ball security: "As Coach Rod spoke about it the other day, that ball is the program."

There was another play where the QB (Gardner this time) throws it right to the DB with no one else around.  I'm really hoping this is a drill and that's what he was supposed to do...

 Please?

A lot of DG in this video. He threw one pick, and one almost pick. I have to say he looks like a real deal QB though. he's going to be awesome post "freshman mistakes".

I wonder if they're limiting video of Denard and Tate for competitive reasons ... (Tate threw to Ricardo in the one clip.)

if I would call the deep ball a "should've been" interception. CC and the WR were running neck and neck, but CC wasn't in a good place to make the interception. More to break up the pass, which is what it looked like happened. Sometimes, you gotta throw the deep ball up to a one on one matchup.

Everything looks so fast and so clean. Everyone looks great! Good to see Bills out of his halo, though that harness thing he's got on now is... interesting looking.

Three thoughts on that:

1) He was in a position to make a play, which is a welcome sign in the land of DOOM.

2) I thought there was some offensive pass interference from JeRon on the play (which I wouldn't mind in that situation; a penalty is better than a pick).

3) There is a reason some guys play defense...

Are DBs look like there in the right place everytime, and they are going up against alot of speed everyday in practice so i think they will be able to keep up with anyone we play its just a matter of how well they tackle and finish plays!

For the weak, unless you're playing NCAA 11 and losing 50 Sportsmanship points every time go for it on 4th down!  Why can't I throw the ball when I'm up 21 points without getting penalized?!  SORRY, I'm back...  The battle for Kicker is an interesting one to me, if there's one position that shows recruiting stars don't calculate mental toughness, it's got to be Kicker.

Love to see the coaches emphasizing ball control.  If we can turn around our TO differential this year, we should be able to turn a few of last year's close loses into W's.

about the defense are tackling and covering the play action bomb. This young secondary has to get the guy down however possible, and they can't bite on the fakes at the back end. UConn will test both of these areas early and often, and I feel like their offense will give us a good idea of how this defense will react to a run-heavy offense that is much like teams we will face in the B10.

There is nothing more terrifying, especially when watching on TV when you can't see the DB's and WR's, than an opposing QB making a play fake and having plenty of time to step up in the pocket and make a perfect deep throw.  The last two years, this has pretty much resulted in an automatic TD or at least a big gain every time.

Other than that horrible int, everything look so crisp. DG is gonna be something special, he looks the part already and with another year of barwis-sizing look out.

It seems like Tate is passing to freshmen and Denard to first team. Is it possible that Tate being more accurate helps freshmen come upto speed with offense while Denard provides more challenge to first team and better chance for improvement. But at game time the roles might switch.
