since the 2010 spring game, and he hasn't disappointed.  He has big play capability on the D.  The 30 yard (+/-) sack in the Sugar Bowl was epic.

That was a bad decision for the RB to try and reverse the field there, but he probably only tried it because he wasn't expecting Ryan to slash upfield as fast as he did. Watching it again, it's pretty amazing how fast Ryan accelerates to the ball. The RB is heading towards the open side of the field and then, BOOM, he's tackled out of nowhere.

Good piece on Jake, definitely an impact player who should get better every year.

Didn't like the Roundtree comment by Karsch ("out for some time") at the end of the piece though... I hope he comes back soon.

It was a brief clip, but that play from the Minnesota game where Ryan seems to just appear and make that tackle highlights his playmaking ability as well. The play from the Sugar Bowl was awesome as well - Jake rightly spared them the humilation of a safety - and it highlights some pretty good acceleration and speed on his part. If I remember, he had 11 TFLs last year, which I think was second on the defense, so the second year in this system hopefully means an even better year this year.
