Countdown to Kickoff - Day 16: Renaldo Sagesse (+ TATE IS ALIVE)
Oooh ooh ooh! Is it Tate this time?
EDIT: HAHAHAHA! TATE IS THERE!
You've gotta love Tate. Hehehehe...
"Woooooo! I'm a scary ghost!"
why would they let someone who has already left the team in a countdown video? weird.
Maybe this was filmed a couple days ago, and Tate took Renaldo's "Get out of here, dawg" comment literally?
They were just UNDER his helmet....
I love the cameo by Tate at the beginning. He is clearly part of the team and having fun.
Its really good to see Tate at the beggining of the video. Im pulling for him to be our starter. I think he gives us the best chance at winning games...
GO BLUE, GO TF
will be the beneficiary of a now-free posbang from me...
Thanks to everyone who's posted these!
waiting for youtube to process this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YrcVkDx1vD0
Also, MGoBlue.com seems to be taking care of things for you...
MGoBlue is subverting their own video delivery system? Awesome. I'm sleeping in tomorrow.
I guess so. They're usually a little slower than you are, but not by a whole lot. They put the videos up on the Michigan Football Facebook page.
About half of the videos on their Facebook page are mine, err, I mean the ones I ripped off from them.
Well in that case, please continue to do what you do, because it's 100x nicer than going through MGoBlue.com's player, even when that one works.
a "Tenso" just waiting to happen.
Do you also make GIFs? I could use one of this.
I could but chunkums would probably show up and kick my ass.
Also, on a content note, it's good to see Denard taking snaps from under center. The more our 2 quarterbacks are interchangeable the better.
When do we find out what Tate's injury is? Fort Schembechler is KILLING me here.
Takes most of a pre-season camp to recover.
Rosenberg is scheduled for an addadictomy on Friday.
If Tate is injured, it could still be his shoulder from the Indiana game. A torn tendon in the shoulder can take 15 months to fully heal properly and frequent throwing would slow down the healing process. I hurt a tendon in my shoulder at the end of last October and it is a lot better, but it still isn't 100%.
I took a spill in March and caught myself on the way down with a "stiff arm" to some jetty rocks along the Grand River. While I managed to keep from splitting my head open, the force of my own weight falling on my exteneded arm tore the tendons in my left shoulder.
I absolutely know how Tate felt and have no idea how he threw the winning touchdown pass against Indiana, nor how he finished the season. He probably wasn't even 50% after that, and doubtful he is 100% now - even with the best medical and rehab staff around.
Definitely want to see him gunning for the top spot. While it looks like the deck is being stacked against him with some faster and taller competition, the kid is a winner - and him going balls out will make everyone better.
Great move by the PR staff to have him make a cameo...
Not to burst any bubbles and I could be 100% wrong here but don't they film these way ahead of time and then edit in the practice tape? It looks like they are in the players lounge when they are filming these and in reality, I know that all the players are at the hotel during fall camp. Anyone?
hotel lounge. It's specially set up for the team. That's why Roh was out front of the hotel pool the other day.
This was probably filmed yesterday and/or Tuesday.
I figured that may be the case but I saw pool tables and I know they're the exact tables in the "other" lounge as well. Thanks for clearing it up!
I'm almost certain that's the players lounge at the football complex.
However, it's entirely possible that the film crew tapes these before/between/after practices.
I do get the feeling that these are filmed on an almost daily basis, so I don't think these interviews are several days or weeks old. Sagesse probably talked to the camera crew yesterday or the day before.
Definitely the Players Lounge seen in the Day 27 video with Mike Parrish.
Also, the players mention different days, so they are definitely filming them daily, like when Lewan and Roh were talking about how they had the day off last Saturday so they were hanging out by the pool, etc.
You'd also have to assume that the players are lying about what is happening in camp each day. If they were filmed ahead of time, comments about, we're working on this, we're getting stronger, etc. would have to be made up ahead of time too.
Maybe the Freep is right, and they've been in camp all summer!!
Great to see Tate having fun with his teammates
This is my double rainbow
Take that, bikini-clad reporter.
he plays a lot. I'm pullin' for this guy, he seems like a great dude.
Also, I knew I heard an accent of some kind!
Maybe Tate is transferring because Renaldo told him to "Get out of here dawg!"
Just how ugly those maize jerseys are. It's like the love child of diarrhea and creamed corn.
Creamed corn always gives me d...-
Wouldn't that be incest?
This video provides all the evidence in the world against maize jerseys.
"If there's one thing on this team I'd change, it would be Martell Webb's nose."
Change? To cornerback?
We need a Michigan Mr. Potato head using Martell Webb's nose, Craigh Roh's Eyebrows, Gerg's hair, Jordan Kovacs' Death Eyes, and Denard Robinson's smile.
Of all the days for that cameo...
Does Tate get a plain blue helmet, but it appears RichRod has reduced him to a plain white t-shirt, too. Does he have to earn back the Michigan football shirt Renaldo's wearing? (cue next Free Press PANIC article)
Jordan rocks plain white tees (tagless) so that is something to think about.
Someone needs to point Tate in the direction of the weight room, honestly he looks no bigger than 170
That Sagesse is a rather large man.
I'm 6'4" and 180, and a couple weeks ago I nearly collided with Tate outside of Blue Front and from my estimates he probably would have trucked me. He's getting near 200. Slowly.
Tate's cameo is perfect, well-timed, and (to me) obviously thought out in advance.
In short, I lol'd
Man does tate still look small.
Tate does look small next to Webbs nose
Evidence of why he still may be our best shot. Kid's got guts. In the last month he's been through disease-gate, wing-gate, and transfer-gate and instead of hiding in the shadows he gets in everybody's face and screams. Rich Rod has always coached him tough. I'm not counting him out for that first snap.
he's silly and he's ignorant, but he's got guts and guts is enough!
I thought the skills aspect of his game didn't need to be stated, but if you need to be spoonfed...Plus how do you get "ignorant" out of a 2 second clip of a kid goofing off? Guts is what Tate showed in the fourth quarter vs MSU and Notre Dame. I am comfortable with him leading a late game drive. That is all.
Can I neg you twice? Please?
Sorry, didn't realize I whiffed on a FMJ quote. I guess we're all a little edgy this week. I've had intended sarcasm/humor misread before, so my apologies. Especially bad since I love that movie, but apparently not enough to memorize quotes other than ones that involve what 2 things come from Texas.
I thought it was funny how Tate makes his cameo, goofing off (wooooooo!) and then almost immediately they show Denard working hard at practice
If anyone wants it.
Takes the field, I propose we all leap up, hunch over and yell, "WHOOOOOOO!"
Welcome back Laddy. I really like that guy.
If you adjust your tin foil hat correctly, you can see it's actually Justin Boren -- he's all excited because he just got done digging divots in the practice field, per the instructions of a couple of guys named Carr and Harbaugh. Next he's going to shred the only copies of the football team's CARA forms.
Yeah, Tate is really growing up. Great to see that he is maturing.
