I'm also from the nasty and know John personally and I'll tell you what, he is truly all in for Michigan. After all the time he put in as a walk-on through the RR years when he was rarely utilized, he never waivered in his dedication.

I was talking to him this summer and asked him about the RBs and he said watch for Smith to really break out this year and that he put a lot of work in over the summer, especially in the weight room. I also can't wait to hear what he has to say about rooming with Rawls during camp.

Or are the countdown videos lacking originality and creativity this year?  It seems like every video has been an interview rather than practice clips, notes on facilities/scoreboards, etc.  It's great to hear from the kids on the team, but I'd like to see them all playing the PS3 on the new scoreboards from the 50 yard line, see the new uniforms event staff will be wearing, See final preparations of the stadium for the season, see Falk get all the equipment ready, etc, etc.

I was half expecting him to say Demens and half expecting him to say Cam as the hardest linebacker to block... but I'm going to take it as a good thing that he said that Mike Jones was the hardest to block. He's finally up to an adequate size and if he's as quick as McColgan is insinuating, then... maybe... we'll have a ....... (please don't smite us) *talented* group of starting linebackers with an *ok* 2-deep rotation.

I would like to motion that these Countdown to Kickoff threads can only be started by the irrepressible Boyz n da Pahokee. It only seems right, as Carley Simon sang "Nobody does it better, nobody does it half as good as you, Boyz, your'e the best"

At about 1:40 of the video, I think you can see an example of Denard jumping up instead of stepping into his throw. It might be a defense mechanism to compensate for his less than ideal QB height

Isn't there supposed to be a big scrimmage today?

I hope we get some reports from those posters who have inside access.

I am really excited to get a better idea of what the depth chart will look like in two weeks!

I don't recall Doug Karsch doing all of the interviews in previous years. If he is going to continue to do the interviews I would love to see him put on a Michigan shirt instead of the generic adidas athletic shirt. I know he's a sparty but if he's working for a Michigan website, he should be wearing the colors.

I also miss the vids like last year with Roh and Lewan or guys hanging out in the players lounge.
