You type faster than Wheatley. Probably the best comment ever. It's like you were possessed by the spirit of Willie Heston when you wrote that.
Fred Jack is the man. The king of superlatives...
Did anyone else notice the handguns on the counter at 47 seconds? What's that all about? Maybe not the best image for a college football team....just saying.

I didn't think about that, but either way, a bit of a gaff on the video editor to not cut that out.

They look like air soft guns to me, you can see the gun on the left is made of clear plastic, so I am guessing the one on the right is also made of plastic. I'll bet my 401K that Fred Jackson doesn't let kids play with real guns in his household.
MICHIGAN COACHES HOLD TEAM MEETINGS WITH ATHLETES AT GUNPOINT
or something along those lines
Look like they're almost certainly airsoft guns. From the video if you watch when he's telling the spinach story you can see the orange barrel tips. 1:06 into the youtube vid.
I love a hoppy ending!
If you notice they are by Mike Shaw, maybe they are for when he decides to break bad in the tunnel again.
I love the long story about the Popeye's spinach, which ultimately ends up with "So did the spinach make me stronger? Well, no."
...and by that, I mean helter-skelter, willy-nilly and putt-putt!
Who can tell a story that appears to have a great message, but ends up having none, and still holds you on the edge of your seat just waiting for it. The players seem to respect him as a coach and father-figure and that's exactly what I like to see from a coaching staff.

Whenever he conjours up names like Biakabutuka and Wheatley, I get instantly stoked! I hope they live up to his expectations. Can't wait for 2 weeks to fly by!
Florida Wolverines have dreadlocks...
Great to hear he loves this group and I loved the Popeye story too.
Everytime he speaks, I like him more. He sounds like a professional - he shows great maturity and an understanding of the task at hand. He seems to get the big picture.
Now everyone can make up his/her own mind, but I have to admit that I love Cox. Can't get enough of Cox quite frankly. If you haven't given Cox a chance, you really should. I hope that Fred Jackson will too.
It's nice to know I'm not the only one thinking about Cox after watching that.
I wish you guys would quit dicking around with his name. The jokes are becoming more and more flaccid all the time.

Are we so hard-up for good comedick material around here? We're better than this.

used to be ram-rod straight around here.

is the perfect counterpoint to RR. As I remember you rarely hear superlatives or hyperbole from Coach Rod but, Coach Jackson is all he's the best running back and blocker since Barry Sanders only with speed.
"Runnnn!!! get to da choppa"
of the guys on the roster have a season like Biakabatuka or Wheatley in their primes I will be so happy I'll cry.
Coach Jackson is what I think of as a Michigan Man, I'm so glad RR retained him from the original staff, may he coach here for many years to come...
"Prejudiced? Partial? You better b'leeve I am. Michigan football is a religion and Saturday's the holy day of obligation." Bob Ufer
the best CTK I have ever seen. I've had the privilege of working with some truly fantastic viewing opportunities over the years thanks to CTK, and I have to say that this outshines them all. To borrow a phrase from Brother Ali (one of this generations most talented lyricists), you could cast shadows on the sun using the brilliance that emanates from this edition of the countdown.
There can be no better human in the world than Coach Jackson when it comes to assessing running back talent and expressing it with the perfect amount of hyperbole and optimism.
