Done and done.
writing the UofM Licensing Dept seems like a scam?
Looking forward to my new desk decoration!
very helpful, thanks!
We can leave this one separate for the time being, and as it is OT season it really isn't a big deal, but as a matter of good practice, this OP would normally merely be a supplement inside the thread below it. Just for future reference.
As for the copy and paste, I did it as well. Usually willing to help out in these scenarios, and this time is no exception.
I'm a newbie at posting etiquette, sorry. I just thought the last post was too long and the action item (writing the licensing dept) would get lost in the longness thereof
What if she is a Mrs, or......identifies as a man??
True that!
Dear Mrs. Ablauf,
I'm writing to inquire as to why the application for licensing has not been granted to the floating helmet company that requested it. As a class of '99 alum, die hard fan and collector, it's quite disheartening to hear that 73 other universities including 13 from the Big 10 conference have granted permission yet the most ravenous fanbase in the world cannot get access to a very cool piece of memorabilia.
I'm sure your office gets bombarded with requests for product licensing, I doubt you've had a request for such an innovative product. I realize the winged helmet is iconic and protecting such a legacy is a difficult job. The truth is we are all stakeholders in that legacy and I think you'll realize very soon this is something we want, badly.
I hope you can take some time in the very near future to consider this application so we the fans who support the University, the athletic department and the football program can have access to a product we would really like to add to our collections.
Thank you in advance for your consideration
Best Regards,

Someone needs to try to get Harbaugh to retweet about this petition! I'm not on any social media unfortunately
Sent with a couple personal modifciations.
They have applied to be a vendor. We are not spamming, just outreaching/petitioning. Give me a break
Boooo to slow red tape. I prefer the torch and pitchfork method.
Then the process is broken. Processes that are too cumbersome and slow to get anything accomplished are broken, and people are wrong to defend them.
maybe you're not familiar with the dynamic of angry mobs carrying pitchforks.
haha love it
There's always one. SMH
