Clarification. In order for us to win I think they need to run block better- up the middle, Lewan on that reverse, everywhere- in order for us to win. So I guess we will likely be able to lose since I don't think we win this game airing it out all day

Nice drive by the offense.  Funchess needed to do a better job of adjusting to the ball in the air.  Shane gave that quite a bit of air and Funchess should have been able to hall that in.

Now it's time to see something out of Mattison.  I have been disappointed with how the defense has responded in every one of the losses.  Show me something-get a stop here!

Shane looks very comfotable.  Its kind of strange.  Both Denard and Devin -- as good as they were -- always had me holding my breath.  I don't feel that way as much with Shane.  Famous last words I know.

This is not a great offense, but they do have good balance and can run, throw, and scramble with the QB.  So, they will get yards unless we can stop them on first down consistently.  Morris looks good so far, mostly due to...wait for it...good play calling by Borges.  But, he'll have to complete some passes to win this for us because I don't see us shutting down their offense all game.

I want to tell myself they're young, but it is getting really fucking hard to not hate everyone on this staff. Fucking cover a GD fucking kick for fuck's sake.

What the heck is this Gibbons "Family matter" that would keep someone from a bowl game?

My husband snorted and said "the cannabis family, maybe."

But surely it's something serious? Possibly grim?

I don't understand what Speilman keeps talking about with gaps.  I can obviously see that there are holes they are running through, but I don't understand why.  Is it scheme, positioning, or simple beating your man?  Is this the d-line's fault, the LB, etc?  Is this a coaching problem or an execution problem or maybe just playing young guys?  What's the deal there?
