It's great to see players who know how to wrap up.

when both teams have bulleyes on their shoes.

Bell stops his feet too often and is too much of a strider. He takes too long to get up to spped. I dont see him having much of a career on Sunday, if at all.
December 29th, 2012 at 11:40 PM ^
He will not last 3 years in the league. He will get creamed.
December 29th, 2012 at 11:38 PM ^
...why in the open field Bell feels that he needs to dance around TCU's defensive elves.

It still looks like they're calling easy plays for Maxwell. Simple reads, 3-step drops, and quicks passes. The stuff you do for freshman or a second stringer thrown into the game by injury.
The problems is that he's a RS Junior who's started for a year.
December 29th, 2012 at 11:42 PM ^
But if they don't do that, he throws pick-sixes.
December 29th, 2012 at 11:42 PM ^
...the Spartan Puntfest 2012.
Sadler's going to need a starting pitcher type ice wrap after this one.

over to RCMB during halftime to take their pulse.
I nominate Salvatore.

I see no frothing-at-the-mouth ragin' by any of the board's denizens. Their eyes seem to be glazed over in recogniton of the futile pursuit of gridiron success.
I know this well as I am a Lions fan.
December 29th, 2012 at 11:41 PM ^
that TO badly. It is starting to get ugly. Maybe this will spark them, err maybe not.
December 29th, 2012 at 11:42 PM ^
Is there any way they don't fire their OC? Borges is god damn genius compared to him.
December 29th, 2012 at 11:43 PM ^
Time of posession reference. DRINK!
December 29th, 2012 at 11:45 PM ^
1:19 and MSU gets the ball. Just enough time for a 3 & out and their 7th punt of the first half!
December 29th, 2012 at 11:47 PM ^
Winner, winner. Double points if you accurately predicted the reverse-Lloyd play calling: incomplete pass, incomplete pass, third-and-ten draw play.

Gary Patterson is like a Bryan Kelly clone, the way that he chews out his players who make mistakes when they come off the field. What a fun guy to play for.
December 29th, 2012 at 11:52 PM ^
a mistake???
Bo certainly did. I have no problem with it so long as violence is not used.
December 30th, 2012 at 12:10 AM ^
I have never seen it on TV. That's the issue.
December 30th, 2012 at 12:17 AM ^
The only people Bo chewed out were the officials when they blew a call. When players made mistakes, Bo was frustrated yes, but he talked to them. He never chewed them out ala Brian Kelly. Big difference.

so sparty!
December 29th, 2012 at 11:46 PM ^
for a first down"? Are you kidding? The WR was bracketed by two TCU defenders, and only a last minute move prevented the pass from sailing up the TCU LB's butt.
And another almost pick. This may be the end of Maxwell tonight.

TCU should have called a timeout there. They could have had it with a minute to go.

December 30th, 2012 at 12:02 AM ^
No kidding . . . this is the second straight bowl season ESPN has used it. Are they cutting back their musical budget?
December 29th, 2012 at 11:55 PM ^
13 carries for 42 yards
7 for 16 passing for 34 yards
3 first downs, 7 punts.
and 47 penalty yards. It isn't often you see a team with more yards in penalties than they have rushing or passing.
I wonder what would happen if this team played West Virginia? It's like the old medieval philosophy question: can God create a defense so bad that even MSU can move the ball against it?
December 29th, 2012 at 11:55 PM ^
December 29th, 2012 at 11:58 PM ^
Why? MSU only went 3-5 against Big Ten competiion.
