Cool story bro?

I don't know the cool story bro protocol, but I thought it was cool. I hope this doesn’t annoy the gods…

I took a quick spin through Home Depot this morning before the game in preparation for this afternoon's home improvement project. I was geared up, of course.

A rather large Home Depot young ‘un approached me and asked "Hey, you a Michigan fan?" "Uh, yeah!" "Well, my cousin is on the football team there. Devin Asiasi. Have you heard of him?"

His mom's sister is Devin's mom. In preparation for the game today, his family roasted a pig (that might be a pro tip for the summer BBQ - when recruiting Pacific islanders, make sure pig is on the menu). The young ‘un was disappointed that he had to work instead of watching the game with his family. They are all-in for Michigan.

He said Devin intends to get his degree, but his objective is the NFL. He better catch the passes that are thrown to him before he starts thinking about the NFL…

I work with schools and De La Salle is a client. I emailed back and forth with his former guidance counselor once and told her what a great kid I think he is. My story sucks and it's so much better than yours OP. Just for the record, it happened 2 months ago and I refrained from starting a thread about it. Good luck with your yard project.

It seems as if this story did anger the gods. I'm not as coldblooded as some of the other members of the tribe here, but I hope, for your sake, that Bolivia is off the table, fwiw. You seem like a nice enough fella.

My cool story....after the game saw a player at pizza house and he shared many stories with his family about the team and I was eaves dropping my ass off.

Because every NFL TE in the history of ever caught every pass that was thrown to them! Cool story, bro but take it easy on the kid. It was his second collegiate game, he'll improve and eventually reach his dream.

We're very fortunate to have the talents of young Mr. Asiasi, his signing was one of the coups of the recruiting season.  Did he miss catching a pass in a downpour?  Yes.  No shame in that.  And consider that the kid is from Cali, where it hardly ever rains during the HS football season.  Don't worry, I'm sure the coaching staff will include some wet ball drills in practice going forward...
