CONTEST: dupe Deadspin
This is totally classy and awesome:
http://deadspin.com/5586072/the-search-for-americas-dumbest-student+ath…
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to craft a fake "dumbest student athlete" entry, get it posted on Deadspin, and then send me the email correspondence. Any winner gets to direct the design of an MGoShirt and three shirts.
You don't even have to make that up.
No, that honor goes to Terrelle Pryor's "everyone murders" speech during his public speaking class
Do we have to provide a real student's name to submit? I might feel just a little bit bad doing that... Not real bad, just a little bad.
that will probably fail the cursory check they will do; best solution is to ask them not to publish the name.
The problem there is that the article says that they will publish the name (if necessary) and you're dealing with Daulerio, which means that there is an inherent risk that the name will be published without your consent.
Furthermore, should you win and reveal that you duped him, then Daulerio could either a) publish the name you gave out of spite and claim that you had a change of heart and were trying to protect the athlete you named or b) publish multiple other essays and names. At any rate, Daulerio's total lack of ethics combined with his spitefulness could lead to highly negative consequences for others.
and let's just say that some of the papers by the athletes were very very similar to the one that they are using as an example there. It really is incredible.
<insert Matt Trannon essay here>
Someone needs to dig up the Katzenmoyer files.

Nice Simpsons reference.
That isn't real is it? If it is, jesus...
That red screen is horrible to look at. Oh, and no more mac donels for me.
I thought they ran exclusively pics of naked athletes. Who knew?
Speaking of recent Deadspin faux pas, their coverage of Michigan Stadium's announced capacity uses John Pollack (of Save the Big House)'s mockup of that organization's alternative proposal for its standard Big House shot.
In my biz we call this a "misrepresentative image" and a big violation of our code of ethics. There isn't even mouseover text to note that the image does not represent the actual renovations; it is simply there, with the reader left to conclude that Michigan Stadium now looks like the representation.
I lived with student-athletes this past year and one of my friends is a tutor at the AC. I suppose I have good credentials to dupe them, but I really can't potentially drag the name of one of my friends through the mud here.
Cmon now, someone here HAD to of taken English 125 with Mallet and peer reviewed a paper or two of his...
This is unfortunately topical; I was checking the board to see if anybody had pointed out this awesome reddit post wherein somebody finds a football player's "paper" in the Fishbowl and posts it online after scrawling misspelled asinine stuff all over it.
