Construction note for IL game: W. Stadium set to reopen to two-way traffic

Submitted by Raoul on

Annarbor.com reports that West Stadium Blvd. is scheduled to reopen to two-way traffic by the end of today, just in time for the Illinois game.

Elizabeth Rolla, senior project manager for the city of Ann Arbor, said completion of the project is contingent on crews having dry pavement to paint traffic lines on the road.

It's been a dry day so far, so hopefully they'll get it wrapped up. On a related note, whatever happened to the daily weather threads? Here's the NWS forecast for Ann Arbor for tomorrow:

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 43. North northwest wind between 5 and 7 mph.

Go Blue!

I agree, but it will be nice to a have a smooth stretch of road there.

By the way, I hadn't realized this until reading the comments on the article I cited above, but they've changed the alignment of Stadium in that stretch. Rather than two lanes in each direction, it will now be one lane in each direction with a center left-turn lane. Will be interesting to see how that affects traffic flow in that area.
