Conley schedules visit to Ohio State
Per 24/7 (LINK), Conley and his mother have spoken to Meyer and decided to take an official to Ohio ($, info in header). Credit jscbus for breaking the info on MGoBoard.
Let's keep it classy here and try to refrain from speculation until more details come out. Nothing but best to Conley as he makes some big life decisions.
EDIT: Reports coming that he's planning on talking to Hoke about it sometime soon; too soon to say that anything is set in stone yet.

We've three solid CBs in this class with in Stribling, Lewis, and Douglas. Meanwhile, we're still looking for a game-changing WR. Wouldn't it make more sense to put Conley on offense? It sounds like that might be a huge factor in his interest in Oregon and OSU.

And just let Hoke and the rest of the staff handle this situation in whatever manner they think is best. We can all sit here and arm chair ideas about the no-visit policy and what we coulda, woulda, shoulda done but the fact of the matter is: these are kids. Kids who haven't been U of M fans since the glory days. Kids who didn't grow up watchin U of M to understand how deep the tradition runs and how deep the rivalries run.
That being said: Mr. Conley, as others have stated, is 17 and he has a huge decision to make. He isn't taking visits at OSU to spite anyone; he's simply trying to do what's best for him and while I'd love for him to take a step back and realize we recruited him for Mich before he received all those offers from OSU and the garnering interests of Oregon, I also can't EXPECT him to. We have no idea what these kids go through in this process. And honestly, I track recruits and hang on there every move as much as anyone who loves U of M and wants the best for our favorite school but stay calm...
Best of luck to Conley wherever he goes; at least he is planning on talking with Hoke. Coach Hoke and staff are doing an amazing job and will continue to, despite what happens with the final signings of the class of 2013.

I guess the question for Conley is go to Ohio and get thrown to 2-3 times per game or come to Michigan and be a part of a pro style offense that in the past have produced many successful NFL WR's.

The no visit policy means a scholarship won't be held for a kid shopping around. Without it, you have situations where we're committed to kids who are not committed to us.
A committment can't be one sided. If it's not absolute from both parties, it doesn't exist.

There are two sides to every coin. Maybe he thought Michigan was the best offer he was going to get. And now that equally good (or better) offers are coming, he's reconsidering because of it.
We're taking advantage of the same type of thing with Da'Mario Jones. He committed to CMU back in July, presumably because he wanted to play for Central Michigan and figured bigger offers might not be coming. Then Michigan swoops in with an offer, and he jumps on it. Was he using CMU? I don't think so. But things change, and he's got to do what's best for himself.

Bottom line...we all want the best athletes to give us the best chance of winning and it sucks feeling like you have a guy, then he goes elsewhere, and it makes it even worse if he goes to our rivals. But, lets face it, our rivals are the best programs in midwest, so chances are good they will go there. I don't like it any more than anyone else but it's just sour grapes. It's human nature, you do what's best for you. We do the same as a team, the player also does in his recruiting...he takes the best offer, if better ones come later (in his opinion) he takes those instead. Should he have just waited yes, but he's 17-18. In this particular situation higly rated recruits have the power, the program no longer does in this age of media where they are alerady stars before ever doing a thing on the college level...they can do whatever they want because someone will always want them. It's hard not to follow recruiting and get caught up in this drama, but it's like watching the Jersey Shore. It's entertaining and hard to turn off, but it gets you know where but annoyed.
