the just released schedules were a flat-out statement that the B10 doesn't believe SOS will matter in playoff selection
Conley Announcing Tomorrow
maybe he can go to work on ty isaac while he's in town.
The one time I actually catch breaking Michigan news, I post a topic, and then see the same topic posted one minute beforehand. Now my thread is deleted.
Damn you MGoBlog! Damn you all to hell.
Seriously, though, Conley's a damn good pick-up and if anything it keeps the commit train rolling. Holding out hope Ty Issac sees the light emanating from Shane Morris.
another Stark County Ohio kid I can go watch any Friday I want too. Massilion Ohio is a powerhouse and the same school Justin Turner and Shawn Crable came from.
21 years of coaching and every senior who stayed had at least 1 big ten title... That is what " Those who stay will be champions" will really get you Ohio native Bo Schembechler.
Don't ge too excited. This is just a clever and thorough ploy to have everyone think that he is going to verbal to UM, but in reality, he is going to verbal to Northwestern....
But I'm starting to think that Coach Hoke really doesn't care if we recruiting-watchers have nothing to do all summer...I mean, what, are we supposed to go out and be in the sun? Play golf? Sail down the Mississippi in a raft? This is a serious issue...
It's tough to make predictions, especially about the future. -- Yogi Berra
Hoke doesn't respect the fanbase... he needs to remember who writes the checks. I'm not saying it's right, but there's no way the blue hairs stand for this. Maybe you can get away with this at San Diego Tech or whatever, but not here. Hoke's about to get run out on a rail and it's his fault, just dumb.
Galileo was also chastised.
Malik McDowell commit watch, of course! Only 23 months until NSD 2014!!!

rivals sure is slacking on this kid
“When your team is winning, be ready to be tough, because winning can make you soft. On the other hand, when your team is losing, stick by them. Keep believing” - Bo Schembechler
Within a week or 2 of his commitment to Michigan they will have something on him. Prob a generic 3-star and then if he does some camps and does well then he'll have the opportunity to move up. It would be nice to see him have a great seaon and garner a 4th star but its not the end of the world.
How might this affect Vernon Hargreaves III and Kendall Fuller? I'm guessing at least one of them would have a spot come NSD if they want to go blue.
Dreads > Lil Boosie fade
Wed likely keep pursuing them and possibly save a spot for them based on their interest level. There will always be certain guys the staff will save spots for, but you don't want to do that with too many guys because you might get burned.
I'm sure the coaches will feel it out with those guys over the next few months. However, if other guys who are close to that level want in, it could change things as well.
I can see us getting a WR, RB, LB and DT to move us up to 19 commits. After that, the last 3-4 spots will be for best available. Guys like: Levenberry, T.Isaac/D.Smith, Fuller, Cravens, Vanderdoes/Poggi, Treadwell/Foster, Orndoff. If we have more attrition than expected, that might open the door for another OL like McGovern or Pocic.
Assuming we have 9/10 spots left.
I can see Michigan taking a RB, CB, DT, WR, and a LB ... and calling that a finished class, with 3-5 spots left for simply the top players. If we can get those spots, and with Isaac, Conley, Poggi, Treadwell, and Gedeon ... we look pretty good to do so, we can literally take 3 - 5 five stars, regardless of position. At this point, you name a top player, there is no need to ask the question; does this effect them? It doesn't. We'll take him, and however many that come with him .... between three and four, of course. This is simply a genius recruiting plan, and seemingly, it's workin to complete perfection.
Hoke-mania is running wild like it's 1987.
I think losing Standifer and losing out on Reeves might make the coaches a little more open to taking a 3rd CB in this class. I imagine Hargreaves and Fuller will still visit, and we'll go from there.

This is probably what the MSU boards were saying about Kugler around this time last week.
I wonder... what is the earliest a recruiting class has ever filled?

@Crosier2432 I already have other offers ... Obviously I want to go to Michigan do you know the definition of commitment

Kinda eliminates any remaining suspense.
Also for fans like @crosier2432, please don't tweet recruits...You make us look really bad when a kid says he's committing to Michigan and you immediately get on his case asking him if he's gonna flip at some point. Great welcome to the family...
that he is going to try and join Team 134. Looking good!
I wonder what this could mean? :)
In all seriousness this is very good. Fills our big CB slot that we lost last year when Anthony Standifer decommited.
Go blue!

Conley just tweeted "Obviously I want to go to Michigan"
...just one man's opinion.
Don't know if it's the footage or he's really that fast, but the kid can move!
Don’t look back. Something might be gaining on you. -Satchel Paige
Ok, this is starting to border on inhuman. This coaching staff must be keeping 5 hour energy in business at the pace they have been visiting these kids and getting them to commit. I think it's safe to assume, UM has the hardest working coaching staff in college football
"The goal, the expectation of this program is the Big Ten Championship"
It's time to cut the coffee for the day bud.
Doesn't Fuller go to Good Councel in Maryland.
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and predict he commits to Michigan.
Sounds promising. I like his film, he should be a consensus 4 star if he keeps progressing.
I hate ohio. Thats all you need to know.
I googled Conley and it lead to here http://www.buckeyeplanet.com/forum/football-recruiting/627669-13-oh-cb-gareon-conley.html They had nothing but good things to say about Conley. He also excels in Basketball and Track.
On a side note, A couple Buckeye faithful were pretty confident about flipping Dymonte. Don't see that happening, I must say.
Yeah, Thomas is included in pretty much every Bucknuts' class predictions. Most are 100% certain they will get Dymonte. Most of these predictions are based upon the though he will visit for every home game and celebrate with the team in the locker room afterward.
"I have no idea to this day what those two Italian ladies were singing about. Truth is, I don't want to know. I'd like to think they were singing about something so beautiful, it can't be expressed in words, like a Michigan recruitng class in early March."
-Ellis Boyd "Red" Redding
Welcome to the fam Conley!
If I say a duck can pull a truck, shut up and hook the sucka up!
some of you people in this thread prove that no matter what a coach does, you're going to find a way to bitch about him. "Why don't we slow down with all the top recruits we're in on" are you for serious?
successfully achieved 1 year self-imposed posting ban 4/10/13
Frankly, I don't see why that isn't a legitimate question. It makes sense to become more selective the more full the class gets. I'm not saying Conley isn't a tremendous player, but the question itself is fair.
But it isn't fair. That Conley has a committable offer at this point shows exactly how the coaches feel about him. If they didn't think him worthy of playing for Michigan, then he wouldn't be committing tomorrow. He is, therefore...
I agree. I'm just saying that if you have few spots left to fill, it makes sense to be very selective
Yes, but, as has been stated on here several times, the question also assumes that the recruiting service scouts are a better judge of character than the coaches. Hoke has a lot more riding on the player's he recruits.
I am also amused at the calls for Michigan to slow down, when at the same time there are cries for players to commit. It works two ways—they commit to Michigan, but Michigan also commits to them.
A repeat national championship in 2017…what better way to celebrate the bicentennial?

what is HALOL i know its laugh out load but whats the HA?
