Jeremy Gallon is the perfect example of why the Legends jerseys should not exist.  He had the single greatest receiving season (by yards) of any MIchigan receiver of all time.  Yet, he was wearing Desmond Howard's jersey.  Any time someone sees a 21 jersey he/she will (rightly) think of Desmond.  If someone buys a 21 jersey and puts Gallon's name on the back, people will look at that person strangely because "Gallon" does not belong in the place where "Howard" should be.  21 is not 1.  With the 1 jersey, we have come to expect great receivers to strive for the number and create an actual legacy (Carter, Alexander, Terrell, Edwards).  But the 21 jersey will always be Desmond's number BECAUSE his name appears on the front.  It's unfortunate for Gallon and his legacy and is just another reason that the Legends jerseys were a failure.

It's pretty amazing he broke the record with how the offense played. It just shows how great of a WR he is. Gonna miss this guy. Good luck in the NFL!

Love to watch his receptions with those Velcro hands!  My kid says the NFL has many WRs already but he's too good a player not to get an NFL career somewhere.

I wish Gallon the absolute best in the NFL. Hopefully it's a long career, with big contracts and minimal hits to the head. I'll miss him the most next year out of all the seniors.
