Rosenberg's stuff used to be good. Seriously, he was a good writer with an interesting opinion then things became more and more kitsch-y over the years. His columns now read like bad stand-up comedy and are incredibly shtick-y, kind of like Albom. I wonder if Rosenberg saw Albom's success and decided to mimic his style.

SI published a salacious story with salacious details about salacious activities that night (in particular alleging that he had sexual relations with _that woman._)
Except the story was bunk, and one of the strippers interviewed was lying (backed up by affadavits), and SI didn't really do anything to vet it, and Price sued their asses. They settled for an unnamed amount, but whatever the libel laws say Price's character was defamed without regard for the truth. I didn't renew my SI subscription and have since watched as Rick Reilly became a lachrymatory Mitch Albom and their weekly format became downright outdated the moment it was printed thanks to the Internets.
