Commitment Watch: According to Dymonte Thomas [Edit: No commitment from Green]

According to Dymonte Thomas on Twitter

He is about to commit! :)

He doesn't specify who, but with all the talk that has been going around Derrick Green, I feel like it has to be him.

Note: I thought this big enough to warrent it's own thread, but if the mods disagree feel free to take it down

Edit:  From Sarah Hughes

My text to recruit @ the BBQ: "Is it about to go down?" His reply: "DG? Definitely." #team134

MOAR EDITS:
According to tremendous

Tremendous I've been told that there's a better chance of him committing than not committing today. Him obviously being Derrick Green.
and

60% is the # [%] was given. Take it FWIW

Then according to Mark from Tremendous

60=100

Take it as you want, but its a good sign.\

One more for good measure, from a 'major site'

Another "idk yet" from Derrick Green when asked if he will commit to#Michigan before he leaves. That often means yes but we'll see.

So hypothetically, if he commits, who do you guys think gets redshirted between Shallman, Smith, and Green? All three backs are widely regarded as bruising tackle-busters rather than burners. I know people are probably going to assume that Shallman is destined for FB, but he's claimed that he is strictly being recruited at the RB position, which makes this class absolutely loaded with talent in the backfield. Which potential option are you guys most excited about?

(DISCLAIMER: these kids are only 3-4 years younger than myself, so the creepiness factor isn't completely toned up by knowing faces.)

I don;t know all, just some that stick out.

Back Row: Khalid, Dymonte, Douglass?, Green?, Lewis, #8 looks like Dukes, Bosch, Ferns #23, LTT, Fox.

Front Row: Dawson, MM, Wyatt, Channing?, Taco in front, no clue who 56 is, BUTT.

I don't recognize all of them and put question marks on the ones I wasn't positive about.

Also, did Devon Allen make it in?

Back Row: #32 Khalid Hill, #14 Dymonte Thomas, #6 Ross Douglas, #27 Derrick Green, #2 Jourdan Lewis, Channing Stribling, #5 ???, #8 Jaron Dukes, Kyle Bosch, #23 Ben Gedeon, LTT, Chris Fox.

Front Row: #55 David Dawson, #9 Mike McCray, #17 Wyatt Shallman, #33 Taco Charlton, #4 Deveon Smith, #56 Scott Sypniewski, #24 Jake Butt.

Corrected/added names in bold. Can anyone identify player in near center of back row in jersey #5?

I just watched his video for the first time, and I'm not so sure what all the hype is about. He's a good player, but I think Scout is probably more accurate than Rivals at ranking him.

Rivals likes to rank on NFL potential. And this kid basically already has an NFL body. He may not be the best RB in the country right now, but he very well could be in a couple years.

Nothing too flashy.  However, he is not a speed or elusive Reggie Bush type back like Ty Isaac.  He is a thumper like Ingram and Richardson and in a power offense these guys are extremely productive.  While I am not buying that he has 4.3 speed, he seems to hit the holes fast and is very decisive.  I will take a 4*/5* top 100 back any day.

I watched a few videos myself and also noticed there was nothing flashy or overly exciting about him. However, I also noticed there was not really a single play where he didn't gain at least about 3-5 extra yards after first contact. Seeing that was really all I needed to get excited about this kid. I hope he does eventually go blue.
