Let's sell our MGoPoints on eBay and use the cash to buy a url like "www.themichiganwolverinesfootballblog.org" and then only post really flattering material about Brady Hoke (example: "he bakes cupcakes from scratch for all recruits-- even the three stars!") , Dave Brandon (example: "It was his idea to double the thickness of pepperoni slices and also to stop funneling Dominos corporate profits into radical right to life organizations!", the University (example: "OMG! I've never gotten laid so easily and by so many smoking hot women than when I was a freshman at U of M-- and don't get me started on how potent, plentiful and inexpensive the weed is!" and Ann Arbor in general ("If there's a place with more ample free parking I'd like to know!). The recruits will totally go for it! They're just stupid kids with no ability to discern e-shite from e-shinola! Oh boy this is gonna be GREAT!

I dont care if the banner gets changed or not..its a banner but it kills me that we cant even agree on that .. but i will say this..It would be a delight to my soul if all Michigan fans embrace the situation and show strong support ... show the players,staff,recruits that the Michigan fanbase IS WHO WE THOUGHT THEY WERE !

If you don't think recruits visit this site, then you're being naive. The banner should be changed for that reason if nothing else. If recruits see that the fans think the coach is a joke, how are they supposed to take him seriously?

I am sorry, if I am a recruit, I am questioning the Brady Hoke hire, thinking well maybe it will work if for no other reason than he'll be supported as a "Michigan Man", and waiting to see who is staff is - just like many of us on MGoBlog.
So if I come to MGoBlog and see exactly that debate, then I start going to MGoBlog as a resource.

Now picture this from the eyes of an uninformed 17 year old. Most recruits do not follow every waking minute of Michigan football, and would see the last few years of Hoke's coaching as a pretty solid resume. There is no reason to NOT support him. We are doing the exact same thing to Hoke right now that was such a dastardly crime when it was done to Rodriguez, and all the dude did was make the mistake of getting hired.

I'm not booing him at games, or in public.
I am not writing news articles about him "winning at all costs" or requiring twice the amount of practice allowed. Nor am I feeding BS about him into the commentary of such articles.
I am not criticizing his coaching decisions, or even they way he left SDSU - and have no clue, nor care if his personal business dealings are being dragged through a law suit.
Nor have I seen anbody else doing this.
Pretty much the only thing that has been said on this web site is: "Really, this is the best, most nationally credible coaching hire Michigan football can make?" and, "If Brady Hoke was always the guy, why didn't D.B. do this earlier?" [edit] Though I will admit, Brian has been pretty hard line on spread offense versus the return to Lloyd Ball (a point on which I am more open minded with examples of how a wide open pro-set can work).
Many, are not swallowing the kool aid, and want to see credible explanations as to why the process happened as it did, and why Brady Hoke (and his eventual staff) is the best choice in this critical time for Michigan Football? (And we don't belive D.B.'s story, because we don't see the logic behind it.)
