Comcast has picked up the hockey game on Saturday.

I can't believe BTN isn't picking this up... You would think every Wisconsin and Michigan game would be on BTN. Is it too obvious?
As the game gets added to your area... post it as an OP so it doesn't get missed as part of a previous OP
And PLEASE... someone do an OP as soon as RCN in Chicago picks this up

Since it is not at a Big Ten member institution, do they have the ability to get the game on their network?
March 25th, 2010 at 12:47 PM ^
I believe they have the ability, but at this point are are only interested in televising hockey games between B10 schools.

They showed the CCHA tournament, and those games weren't between B10 Teams.

Part of that television money had to be shared with the member institutions of the CCHA that appeared in those games. Ideally, the BTN wants only BigTen vs BigTen, but they do make a couple of concessions, especially during playoffs when people will have a higher propensity to tune in, to generate more revenue.
I think there's a influx of more spring sports starting this weekend that showcase the Big Ten regular season (softball being the big one) that are probably a higher priority. While that priority may not be many fans' prerogative, conference opening day for a national powerhouse conference sports that are strictly Big Ten probably out weigh a national play off hockey bracket.
Just my guess.

Picking up a game only involving one B10 school would be so much more interesting than a lot of the programming they show otherwise and that's not limited to just games UM is involved in.

If only it was at Yost we could do the "WE HATE COMCAST!" cheer.
Although in this case Comcast is doing everyone a favor. The game is being produced by ESPN; Comcast is just syndicating it.
Good. I prefer to watch hockey games where the camera man has no idea where the puck is, so this works out great for me.
Anyone who values their ability to actually follow whats happening in the game might be disappointed though.
Comcast isn't producing it; they're just picking up ESPN's feed.
My mistake. Those comcast broadcasts just really put me on edge. ESPN should do a pretty good job.
It's channel 640 on DirecTv. I have DirecTv and last night I searched everyone of my FSN channels and not one of them were showing the game.
i will never give comcast ANY love whatsoever.
BlueOkie -- what are you smoking? DirecTV Channel 640 currently does not show this game is showing - where did you find that? To me it looks as of right now no channel on DTV is picking up the Michigan game. Please help if others find it differently.
Maybe the link in the OP.
According to College Hockey News, Fox Sports North will show the UM vs. BSU game live - http://www.collegehockeynews.com/schedules/radiotv.php?type=tv&tvid=3
Makes sense as BSU is in Minnesota.... their current TV guide doesn't show the game yet, but we can hope!
