Colorado Toledo

Just tuned into the Colorado Toledo game. I wonder if Toney Clemons is bumming about his decision to transfer.

Colorado appears to be one of the laziest teams I've ever seen play. Every play, it seems, there are weak blocks, rubber-arm "tackles", passes to tacopants. Wow, just wow. Toledo is opening Weis-size holes very often for their RB. I really thought that Hawkins would have Colorado on track; this is embarrassing for all their fans I would imagine.

As a Cinci student, I'm almost a little offended at that idea. I think it woiuld be a step down to go to CU at this point. That and HE came out and said he WOULDN'T go to M if they asked before M hired RR. He said he wanted to stay where he was and advance the program. And Cinci's doing a great job of building everything he asks for and they are able to provide.

RIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT. In related news, I released a statement saying in no way, shape or form would I go out with Kate Beckinsale if and when she asked me. I'm sorry to say it friend, but there's no way Kelly is there 3 years from now. The only reason he ever released his statement about not being interested in the M job is because there was no way in Hell he was being considered for it. Savvy PR move? Yes. Actually turning his nose up at M to stay in Cinci? No. He's done good things for that program, but the resources aren't there like they'd be at CU or a larger state school.

As a Central Alum of the Brian Kelly Era this is about as laughable as a statement as it gets. Once a bigger name school comes calling Kelly is outa there like a fat kid in dodge ball. If you look at his track record from GVSU to CMU, CMU to Cinci each stop he was "staying at" and lets not forget, he flaked out on the team that hadnt been to a bowl game in 15 years. On the flip side he gave my friend who walked on to the football team a scholarship for his senior year, and said friend is now permanently attached to Kelly's hip and followed Kelly to Cinci to become a strength coach for the team. I'm not mad though, he still turned a crappy team around into a perennial MAC contender so hey I'll take that.

Colorado sucks so bad I can feel the breeze toward Toledo right now. Clemons will probably start for them next year at any position he wants. If Colorado wins a Big 12 game this year the Big 12 North should be evicted from the conference.

Hawkins said they'd win 10 games this year, and they've looked terrible so far... I live in Denver, and always sort of root for the Buffs to do well, although not very openly, so I don't feel too embarrassed. Have a lot of friends at CU though that have got to be feeling the hurt right now.

As I'm sure many on this board may remember (and I'm sure you do), we were all thinking that Austin Dantin may be the second quarterback in our class following the panic that was Newsome and Beavergate. Had things gone a little differently tonight, we may have been able to see him get into the game and run a few meaningless plays. Heck, had things gone a little differently before the season, we may have been able to see him run a few meaningful plays tomorrow against ND.

More like, LOLorado BuffaLOLs. Talk about mailing one in... Yikes. And how did Toledo amass so many freakishly tall receivers? They running their basketball team out there or something?

Typical SEC Fan: "The Big Tway-uhlve don't di-sarve its high rankin's ... Oklahoma gets bayt in its own backyard buh BYU, CU got rolled buh a MAC team. The SEC is the bay-uhst conference." Reasonable Person With Brain: "Didn't Georgia get its clock cleaned by Oklahoma State?" SEC Fan: "Y'all like gree-uhts?"

What the hell? I mean they were going down when Barnett was there, but at least they were a respectable team every year. CU alums must be slitting their wrists. And why are you playing at Toledo?
