College Gameday Sign Help
So I know this is over a month away, but I'd like to have my sign printed/made before I move into Stockwell later this month. I realize asking for help kind of ruins the spontaneity of it, but oh well. So far our ideas are:
- Giant head poster like found at many sporting events. It would either be Denard smiling, Hoke pointing, or maybe even Desmond. If anyone has a high-res picture of Denard smiling that would be awesome.
- Rudy was Offsides. Its a bit over used, but I still like it.
- A classic sign using ESPN in word names
- A shot at OSU. "Ohio State gives out more cars than Oprah" was a thought. Re-using "Cash 4 Gold Pants" is a possibility too.
And anything else that you can think of. If it was a purely text sign then we're probably going to make it double sided.
A blow up DH's catch in the endzone.
I'm gonna try and show up with a picture of my favorite sportscenter anchors a'la mid 90's...Probably get kicked out by ESPN brass who don't like publicity for former employees.

A few years back, I saw a Michigan fan holding up a sign that said 0-11-1 (which was Herbie and Corso's combined record against us) I always liked that.
To take a dig at the bucks, you could always do the MGoBlog bumper sticker idea:
"I got recruited by OSU and all I got was this lousy car."
I'll be disappointed if I don't see the "I got recruited by OSU and all I got was this lousy car" sign in a prominent spot behind the gameday stage come Sept 10th.
I'm also willing to bet that there will be at least 5 pics of the denard heisman pose.

Have a large sign on a pole/stick with the state of Michigan, Indiana and Ohio together like on a map with stars on Ann Arbor, South Bend and C-bus, with the words, "Michigan -- We Keep Sh** From Flowing North."

When much of the Catholic sexual abuse scandal was first breaking, I brought a "Touchdown Jesus Touched Me" sign into the stadium.
Surprisingly enough, it wasn't confiscated.
I'm not even going to pretend that's a suggestion, though. Here's my two cents: GQ Cook is a work of genius and should really be your sign, but Football Jesus Denard is pretty great too.
Every single one of the OSU car-related suggestions here has been subpar, so don't use those, IME.

Be careful on the signs calling out individual players. I don't think they will let you make any Michael Floyd references, for example. (ESPN confiscated my friend's sign when they were here for the OSU game in '07.
I wish I were clever enough to come up with some of the signs you have all been suggesting.

So much of Notre Dame's history is tied to us.
*Michigan taught them the game of football in 1888.
*Their stadium was copied off of ours.
*Their fight song was not only inspired from "The Victors," but was actually written after a loss to us.
Some kind of a sign that says, "You're welcome," only more creative would be nice.
