The Gameday guys had the season preview today, and a couple of things were interesting. First was the order of the conferences they previewed in individual segments, which corresponded to what roughly the national impressions are regarding the conference strength. SEC first, followed by Big 12, Pac 10, and Big Ten. An interesting item was that they did not even do a preview segment on either the Big East or ACC, dismissing the Big East with Fowler saying 'well, the Big East still has an automatic BCS exemption, so who's going to win it?"
Next, the B10 was in for it's usual discussion of why the conference is so down, with Herbstreit making a half hearted attempt to say that the conference has more depth this year, and Holtz even talking up Minnesota a bit. The only M discussion was a reference by Fowler to the 3 QB's playing next week, and some brief video of Rodriguez screaming at the offense in practice. Holtz predicted 7-5 for us "in pencil"
McCoy was most of the guys' prediction as Heisman winner, and other than that that was really it. Not really a great preview at all, perhaps being only an hour there wasn't really enough time to do it justice.
