College Gameday (Open) Thread
It's 10:50 now.
FYI for those that care to watch...a preview on Michigan is coming up soon. They're going to give their take on our "offensive woes."
Edit: Didn't say anything of note, but Desmond Howard very uncomfortably called out Borges. Clearly wanting to say more, but wanting to keep it professional...less "homer"...and not ruffle too many maize and blue feathers. Did say Borges needs to earn his check (3rd highest paid OC in the country), he acknoledged the youth...but said Borges gets paid to figure out the problem. Repeated that Borges needs to use weapons and outscheme defenses.

Whats there to break down? Its simple. No offensive line. A tentative qb. A terrible OC making matters worse. Theres our offense summed up in 20 seconds.
November 16th, 2013 at 1:47 PM ^
I agree with your obvious as all hell synopsis of our offense, but the tentative QB part should be last, as the line and terrible OC created this problem.
November 16th, 2013 at 10:56 AM ^
It probably won't include much real insight, but I will listen to it
November 16th, 2013 at 10:57 AM ^
...prepare yourself for Michigan highlights and lots of Dantonio.
November 16th, 2013 at 11:50 AM ^
They keep repeating the same nightmare. Ugh.
November 16th, 2013 at 10:57 AM ^
Thanks for the heads up! Turned it on to watch them slobber all over the Sparty D.
November 16th, 2013 at 11:04 AM ^
As they should
November 16th, 2013 at 11:13 AM ^
Agreed. They are outstanding.
November 16th, 2013 at 11:28 AM ^
I am not saying they shouldn't. MSU's D deserves the attention but I turned the channel to see something about M and end up with cold lotion.
November 16th, 2013 at 10:58 AM ^
He has less than 2 seconds each play to make his reads full well knowing he's getting sacked at least once per possession. He's not the problem.
November 16th, 2013 at 11:02 AM ^
He's part of the problem. He's had ample chances to actually throw balls away rather than take sacks. That's bad
November 16th, 2013 at 11:23 AM ^
In some cases, yes. In many cases he can't get outside the tackle box.
November 16th, 2013 at 11:01 AM ^
let us know what they say.
November 16th, 2013 at 11:01 AM ^
Props to Max for making the story about his team.
November 16th, 2013 at 11:03 AM ^
Coming up in 40 mins. They're calling it "Michigan Mess"
November 16th, 2013 at 11:03 AM ^
Coming up at approx 11:40
November 16th, 2013 at 11:04 AM ^
Did ESPN just troll all Michigan fans to sit through that paean to State?
November 16th, 2013 at 11:05 AM ^
1140 is too early to drink, right?
November 16th, 2013 at 11:15 AM ^
No, you are doing it wrong.
November 16th, 2013 at 11:07 AM ^
Sounds fun.
November 16th, 2013 at 11:07 AM ^
You mean laugh at?
November 16th, 2013 at 11:08 AM ^
Really Brady?
You can't protect a quarterback...how the hell are you going to protect the President?
November 16th, 2013 at 11:19 AM ^
Do I break the no politics rule...nah.
November 16th, 2013 at 1:29 PM ^
This is why I love this site.
November 16th, 2013 at 11:08 AM ^
The dichotomy between Dantonio getting onscreen looking like he's about to stare a hole through a brick wall and talking like he's a freaking four-star general and Hoke probably showing up with his "well..." routine in about a half hour grinds my gears. We look like a three-ring circus while they're pretty much waltzing into Indy.
November 16th, 2013 at 11:22 AM ^
He also is in his 7th year while Hoke is in his third. In Mork's third season he went 6-7.
If people are going rant against Hoke using Dantonio they ought to remember Dantonio's career. It's a lot of ups and downs.
November 16th, 2013 at 11:30 AM ^
I have met the man and his disposition was a turn off. Give me Brady in a house recruiting every time.
November 16th, 2013 at 1:53 PM ^
I was recruited by the man, and I have to say, although he can kiss my ass right about now, Dantonio is a likeable guy. That asshole demeanor is a facade picked up studying Tressel at OSU. I must say it has worked. I'm not a fan of nice guy HCs at all. Mack Brown? Lovie Smith? Wade Phillips (Brady Hoke's long lost brother)? Dolphins coach? jIM fassel? I could go on and on. It rarely works out, especially these days.
November 16th, 2013 at 11:09 AM ^
We were trolled...but according to the schedule, they're still going to "break it down"
November 16th, 2013 at 11:14 AM ^
Not real sure how far you can break down a run up the middle into a collapsing offensive line and 8 guys blitzing.
November 16th, 2013 at 11:37 AM ^
You could repeat it 27 times
November 16th, 2013 at 12:54 PM ^
You just made me spit out my OJ....what a mess.
November 16th, 2013 at 11:15 AM ^
If Hoke won't do what is necessary to save this program Borges might have an "unfortunate accident" in the offseason. I am only half joking.
November 16th, 2013 at 11:15 AM ^
I think we missed the M offense on gameday.
well, I wouldn't say we've been missing it, Bob
November 16th, 2013 at 11:18 AM ^
It'll probably be their "highlight" coaches breakdown type feature that they usually do before the predictions.
November 16th, 2013 at 11:25 AM ^
"it sucks. up next, some commercials!"
November 16th, 2013 at 11:33 AM ^
commercial about college fandome and showing and uncle who invented the wave at Alabama?!?!?
November 16th, 2013 at 1:40 PM ^
That is just pandering in a commercial. Alabama doesn't even do the wave.
November 16th, 2013 at 11:36 AM ^
Sometimes I wonder why we torture ourselves
November 16th, 2013 at 11:38 AM ^
Isn't it piling on to break down something that is already broken?
November 16th, 2013 at 11:39 AM ^
as a guest to breakdown the Michigan O?
Then Brady can come on and say "They're wrong!!"
November 16th, 2013 at 11:44 AM ^
you know what? fuck this bullshit.
I can't believe i actually changed over to see this.
We need to go and beat the hell out of NW today... right this shit and make it through this year with whatever dignity we can.
fuck corso.
November 16th, 2013 at 11:45 AM ^
HAHAHAHA
November 16th, 2013 at 11:45 AM ^
Preach it Desmond.
November 16th, 2013 at 11:45 AM ^
Desmond laying down some truth.
November 16th, 2013 at 11:45 AM ^
Desmond chucks Borges under the bus.
November 16th, 2013 at 11:46 AM ^
Holy crap he totally did. Good for him. Even Corso doesn't defend Borges.
