College Gameday and Early Games Open Thread 10/01
College Gameday is in Madison for the Nebraska-Wisconsin game. They just made their Big Ten picks (I think all were unanimous):
- Ohio State over Michigan State
- Penn State over Indiana
- Illinois over Northwestern
- Notre Dame over Purdue
- Desmond says Michigan has a surprise.... (they win big!)
They're obviously saving the Neb-Wisc pick for the end of the show. If I made a mistake on any of those picks, let me know. I'm not paying 100% attention to it.

Checking in on other games at halftime.
Northwestern is up 14-10 on Illinois. They're winning but not doing much on offense against Illinois even with Persa back. They have 4 drives that were three-and-out and two touchdown drives of 69 and 36 yards for a total of 116 yards. Illinois is moving it pretty well (205 yards) but has two turnovers.
Penn State and Indiana are playing quite a snoozefest in a 3-3 game. It's too bad we're not playing either of those teams. We need to restart our winning streak against Penn State.
