When they opt for throwback jersey's do they pick week's instead of year's?   You know...."lets wear this old thing from week #4 to remind our fans of our storied traditions"....

Can we P L E A S E go back to using Nike apparel? I hate adidas. I know Nike does some wild stuff style wise with teams that are open to it, but Nike left us alone and didn't pressure us to look ridiculous. They understood our product sells itself worldwide. I challenge someone to look up the numbers. Adidas jus reminds me of the Dark Age of Wolverine Athletics and the products are jus junk. If soccer wants to keep it, fine.

I love soccer, and follow many international teams but especially the men and women of UM. Adidas has huge presence in soccer globally. I'm jus sayin you don't turn the prized stud bull steer into hamburger when its the one big thing keepin this crazy rodeo afloat. Damn that sounded country.

I dont know if the Big 10 has a legit top-10 or top-15 team right now

A long list of good, but not great teams.

In fact, I think that in UM's division we could see a logjam at the top with three teams tied at 5-3 in league play. Everyone but Minnesota can beat the other teams in the division on a given day.

Also, MSU will be better than most partisans in this thread expect.

I agree that the Big10 might not have any teams make it to the great/elite level this season.

But I don't know about MSU. I expect them to do better than the 6-6 getting thrown around earlier in the thread. But they weren't a very good 11-2 team last year, and I'm expecting a slight regression combined with not eking out as many close wins. I think 7-5 to 9-3 seems like a reasonable regular season expectation.

Then again, I don't know much at all about the players replacing MSU's departed players. They could show some actual improvement, and I could end up with egg on my (probably) raging face.

I agree that #14 is probably too high for Sparty, but it isn't outrageous. With their schedule they'd probably have to go 9-3 to get there by the end of the regular season. They probably should have been about 8-4 last year, and with their losses on the OL and defense they should probably be 8-4 or 7-5 this year. A few breaks like they got last year could get them to 9-3.

Auburn at #18 is way, way, way overrated. Nearly all of last year's starters are gone and on paper they are much worse than the 2009 team that went 8-5.

ND and the other MSU are underrated. Both were playing very well by the end of last season and return almost intact.

Lowest I have seen ND ranked out of any of those high profile preseason rankings.  Some writers are already trying to put ND in the top 10

The O Line may or may not be a problem for MSU, yes they've lost three starters but they had to replace three starters in the prior season as well

Oregon losing its receiving corps, several O-linemen and almost the entire front 7 won't go undefeated.

Stanford losing 3 of its starting O-linemen and its coach also seems like a severe top 5 stretch.
