College Football Open Thread Night 2

Submitted by M-Wolverine on
Can't live up to last night, but it's football. Please if MSU goes down 3-0 to Western let's not act like they're not going to win by multiple touchdowns. Also Texas Tech-SMU, Florida Atlantic-Miami (YTM), N. Dakota St-KSU (maybe good?), N. Arizona-Arizona, and Morgan St-Army already underway.

I'm just going to say it again. States not going to be able to run the ball this year. Their lack of play from the quarterback position will kill them. This is western Michigan. Come on?

It's going to be a long night for Western. Every throw by their QB has been really ugly, slow release, usually into double coverage. Sparty should have more than 2 interceptions right now.

With that last first down, Connor Cook just became Michigan State's second-most prolific rusher in the game to date. Oh yeah, all sorts of fun on this offense. Granted, it is Western that they are playing.

Funny how different Hoke is from Dantonio.  I think it has to do with the history of the program being awful.  He talks up his players to the point you think they are a NFL team.  Everything in camp has been awesome, every player has been special, quote after quote "I love what I see from ABC player" and "XYZ has stood out all camp.  Meanwhile Hoke when asked about a specific player just says coach-y stuff like "He has been practicing...He is competing."   I get why Dantonio does this since the psychology of State is one big loss and they implode year after year, but I thought I would see Alabama North here based on Dantonio's descriptions.
