Also....BAHAHAHAHAHA Maxwell benched.
a vitally important recap of all the dumb tweets sent during the Harbaugh coaching search
Also....BAHAHAHAHAHA Maxwell benched.
2nd unsportsmanlike conduct of the night for Sparty.
The first one should have been a penalty, the second one was stupid. College is becoming the No Fun League.
Drummond must look up to Denard. Stealing his eating thing.
Good d no offense
Well thus far Sparty is what we thought they were - top notch defense, lost offense.
I'm just going to say it again. States not going to be able to run the ball this year. Their lack of play from the quarterback position will kill them. This is western Michigan. Come on?
Is State's new OC the walrus from Tressel's days at OSU?
State running game looks horrible so far. What was the penalty after the interception for...the eating gesture?
So..with this Cover 2 under...WMU might want to think of something other than crossing routes.
Not sure where their points will come from against us. I think we'll be alright
It's going to be a long night for Western. Every throw by their QB has been really ugly, slow release, usually into double coverage. Sparty should have more than 2 interceptions right now.
anyone think it was weird seeing the old Michigan band director leading the WMU band? Just saying...
If you let those punts you've been catching at the eight yard line bounce once you can have the ball at the twenty.
Western needs to put in another QB. This guy with the epic name isn't getting it done.
And forcing everything.
how deadspin ranked MSU in the top 25 is beyond me.
BTN pre-game hosts predicted 10 or 11 wins for Sparty. Not quite sure what they see in their offense. I know they have a favorable schedule but this offense can't move the ball on Western.
Sparty's offense is horrible. Color me confident about that game.
Any moment now, the Spartans should reach close to 80 yards of total offense by most estimates, and it only took a shade over 15 minutes of regulation play.
Now now, maybe Western's defense is just that good........maybe.....
Honestly....this kids throwing motion makes Threets look fast.
appears to be awesome
Hope he has a backup or a bionic leg cause it could be a looong season for him!
Some people in various preseason polls ranked this team ahead of us...with this offense. Ok.
Yeah, Maxwell's career is over unless Cook gets hurt.
Has state crossed the fifty yet? I'm too bored to recall.
Bullough has some serious speed on the edge. I am sure Big 10 LBers will never be able to catch him.
Sparty offense on night 1 is fantastic...
With that last first down, Connor Cook just became Michigan State's second-most prolific rusher in the game to date. Oh yeah, all sorts of fun on this offense. Granted, it is Western that they are playing.
State feels the need to pull out the "end around" to try and get some offense>
This games going to get interesting. Wow. States offense is horrid.
It wont be interesting. WMU might have as many first downs as MSU gets points... 13? Every pass by Western is at risk of an interception. Every one.
Without Bell they are who we thought they were!
Funny how different Hoke is from Dantonio. I think it has to do with the history of the program being awful. He talks up his players to the point you think they are a NFL team. Everything in camp has been awesome, every player has been special, quote after quote "I love what I see from ABC player" and "XYZ has stood out all camp. Meanwhile Hoke when asked about a specific player just says coach-y stuff like "He has been practicing...He is competing." I get why Dantonio does this since the psychology of State is one big loss and they implode year after year, but I thought I would see Alabama North here based on Dantonio's descriptions.
I'd actually like to see Riley Bullough play well since I live in the same area he's originally from
Well, sorry man. Dude runs sideways.
Wow, western has an great defense!
This is actually quite embarrassing for the state of the B1G. Come on sparty, you SHOULDN'T be this bad on offense.
Maxwell averaged 3.3 yards per pass.
Cook is averaging 3.2.
At least Cook can run, I guess, for State's sake.
I wonder if MSU's defensive players resent that their brethren on offense can't do squat?
That was PI on Dennard
Dennard got away with som PI there...
Absolutely. Short of pulling his shirt/arm off, I'm not sure what else the ref needed to see there.
pass interference by dennard
