College Football Open Thread Night 2

Can't live up to last night, but it's football. Please if MSU goes down 3-0 to Western let's not act like they're not going to win by multiple touchdowns. Also Texas Tech-SMU, Florida Atlantic-Miami (YTM), N. Dakota St-KSU (maybe good?), N. Arizona-Arizona, and Morgan St-Army already underway.

bantering with those guys, trying to be nice, I was made to feel welcome by the regulars from BYB, I'm on there a lot. Thy are not happy with their QB situation. Dantonio needs an OC, their defense is being wasted with a horrible offense.

Yep, you cant ask a guy with 0 experience playing at QB with a team less talented to do anything on the road like this against a Big 10 team.  But really their first string guy was throwing near INTs every pass as well.

NDSU QB says win over KSU is biggest in program history....seems pretty odd to me that he would say that is bigger than their back to back FCS championships the past two years.

Well watching Sparty play makes me feel less doom and gloom about the ratings handed out in the safety preview.

Also be interesting to see how our offensive line handles all those interior blitzes.

Sure, but thanks almost solely to awful QB play by WMU and virtually nothing else. The most annoying part of this game, and surely of the aftermath, is the constant droning on and on that their defense is elite. Sorry, maybe they are, but I didn't see it tonight.

Kansas State, the BEST team in the Big 12 just lost to an FCS school, which really shouldn't happen ever unless there's some real serious talent deficiency there. The Big 10 is the worst conference, though, amirite?

I've been watching both games and I'd make NDSU at least a 2-TD favorite over Western. Fourth year starter at QB, all five top receivers back from a national championship team, didn't break down on defense against a pretty good FBS opponent, and this is the fourth year in a row they've won their annual FBS game (and they're not playing MAC or Sun Belt teams either).

That's a good team right there. If we had promotion/relegation they'd be in the B1G by now.

team with Heisman Trophy contender Collin Klein on it, who is now gone. KSU overachieved last year, their talent level really isn't that great. They are definatly not the best team in the Big 12 this year.

Regardless of  the level NDSU plays at, they are solid and  well coached team. They have now knocked off a FBS team four different times.

only be a good unit, not a elite one. Dominating this horrible WMU offense and their backup QB doesn't mean anything. One thing is for sure MSU's offense is god awful, and their defense won't be able to score for their offense against better teams.

I would shocked if they didn't finish with 4-5 losses this year, regardless of what their defense does.

A bit off topic from this thread, but it's news I think we all like to see.
