Per College Football Live: Nick Sheridan in the hunt for starting QB job
I was just watching College Football Live and they say that the Michigan QB battle is a three-man competition between Denard Robinson, Tate Forcier and Nick Sheridan. LMAO I just thought I would share...man they do a bangup job at that network.
And in other news, I am now a leading candidate to be the next Pope! They just reported it on ESPN.

What's even worse, this is their actual phrasing:
Tate Forcier, Nick Sheridan, and freshman Denard Robinson
I'd be ticked if I was Devin Gardner

U guys ever think ur watching LAST YEARS REVIEW???
August 31st, 2010 at 3:52 PM ^
Umm, no. Considering they just reported Mark Ingram is out for San Jose St., I'm pretty sure it's current
August 31st, 2010 at 3:56 PM ^
Considering I am not a moron, no.
Though, several people who know me might disagree with me on that.
August 31st, 2010 at 4:00 PM ^
Well I underestimated the stupidity of ESPN once again, which in turn might make me a moron.

The first step towards recovery is admitting that you have a problem. ;)
August 31st, 2010 at 8:58 PM ^
Some things are just hard to explain...
Last year, ESPN thought that our best RB's were Bump Elliott, Bob Chappius and Jack Weisenberger. Weird.
September 1st, 2010 at 12:33 AM ^
sadly, that was accurate.
September 3rd, 2010 at 1:20 AM ^
Hey I know Jack. I have been to games with him, dated his granddaughter and hang out with his grandson. He is still alive and kicking living in Mount Pleasant.
August 31st, 2010 at 4:05 PM ^
in doing their research, that while having their pre-writing donuts they quickly googled and THEY got their facts from a post that... oops, was not from 2010.
August 31st, 2010 at 3:50 PM ^
So much for the professionals...
August 31st, 2010 at 3:54 PM ^
Experts.
August 31st, 2010 at 3:54 PM ^
They never know what's going on at BSPN
August 31st, 2010 at 3:55 PM ^
That idiot trevor matich also claims that even if denard doesnt start at qb, they are going to line him up as a receiver. another espn fail
August 31st, 2010 at 4:00 PM ^
Hasn't Rich said something similar? Of course, at this point, it seems Denard will be the starting QB, but didn't RR say even if he wasn't, he would find the field elsewhere?
August 31st, 2010 at 4:04 PM ^
He maybe said that last year or something, but last I heard Denard has not been taking reps at any other position this year.
August 31st, 2010 at 4:36 PM ^
I believe that Rich Rod said that before he had seen Denard's improvements in camp. He said no matter what they want him on the field.
August 31st, 2010 at 3:55 PM ^
Wow. This doesn't even rate by that low standard.

Thats ok, I come on here for my college football fix. I dont visit the espn cfb website anymore. Now, if only MGOBLOG can cover other sports, wouldnt even bother with espn online anymore.

You still don't have to bother. There's a blog for every team in every (major) sport. They may not be as thorough as this one, but they are still better than anything on BSPN.
August 31st, 2010 at 3:58 PM ^
the coaching staff is really buying into this year's theme of DOOM...
August 31st, 2010 at 3:59 PM ^
That was pathetic.
August 31st, 2010 at 4:00 PM ^
Any chance that Brandon Graham was projected to start on the line? hehe
August 31st, 2010 at 4:04 PM ^
On BTN, on the ticker ont he bottom, they say that Brandon Robinson was our leading rusher. Evidently Brandon Minor and Denard Robinson made some form of unholy union of their bodies. I can't wait to see how Dilithium mixes with RAGE
August 31st, 2010 at 4:07 PM ^
Melanie Collins probably wrote it in her new role on BTN.
August 31st, 2010 at 4:14 PM ^
When I heard them say it was a three man race, I was like "That sounds about right" but after they said Nick Sheridan was in the hunt, I left the room.
August 31st, 2010 at 4:17 PM ^
If I made even one mistake approaching the level that you see sportswriters making on a daily basis, I'd be fired.
How sad is it that some random, semi-knowledgeable fan with no formal training could come in to 80% of these people's jobs and do better?
August 31st, 2010 at 4:18 PM ^
Their source must be that guy on the board last year who guaranteed Sheridan would start against WMU.
August 31st, 2010 at 4:18 PM ^
Customer CFL: I want the one story with the bigger GBs Nick Sheridan in the run for starting QB.
Sales Guy Collective Michigan Fanbase: Oh God, I think I just had an aneurysm. Are you happy? Your fucking stupidity has killed me.
August 31st, 2010 at 4:32 PM ^
This is great news!!! That means that D. Warren, Graham, and Stevie Brown should be starting..... Brian, re-do the position analysis for the D-Line (5), DBs (a solid 3), and LBs (a tentative 3).
As long as Sheridan doesn't win the QB job, and with this defense, we're looking at a 9-3 season for sure!
August 31st, 2010 at 5:11 PM ^
this thread would be about Nick Sheridan having a shot to start in some professional football league I don't care about.
This is just sad.
August 31st, 2010 at 5:13 PM ^
God that was pathetic.. And i must say Snyder is one ugly mother fucker..
August 31st, 2010 at 5:47 PM ^
This is why ESPN is the worst place to go for college football information. They are ill-informed, have terrible insight, and do not do any research whatsoever. I know it won't do any good but I'm going to write them an E-mail and let them know how seriously terrible their coverage has been.
August 31st, 2010 at 6:11 PM ^
before the dawn of the blogosphere, I used to get all my CFB from ESPN. Thankfully there are now a ton of of good blogs out there. I think I am a way more educated fan since I've been getting my news from the blogs for the past 5 years.
August 31st, 2010 at 5:59 PM ^
Does anyone have a clip of this? I would love to see the epic fail.
August 31st, 2010 at 6:09 PM ^
What a joke, shouldn't someone fact check before talking on the air?
September 3rd, 2010 at 2:24 AM ^
They are, of course, the geniuses that brought us these words of wisdom last year: "[The Wolverines] want to get the 'woof, woof' back at the Dawg Pound, back at the Wolverine house, the Big House."
August 31st, 2010 at 7:20 PM ^
That was funny. That was a great joke! Thanks ESPN, I needed that laugh this week. Broke up the tension of the week before the opening game!
September 1st, 2010 at 2:49 AM ^
They actually said. "Michigan's QB race will be BREAKING NEWS BRETT FAVRE BRETT FAVRE BRETT FAVRE BRETT FAVRE"
September 2nd, 2010 at 9:58 PM ^
sad :(
